This article is about a villain base in Power Rangers RPM. |
The Venjix Palace is the lair of the Venjix Computer Network. This is where Venjix himself usually resides and makes plans to exterminate what's left of the human race.
History[]
The palace takes the appearance of a large factory, with masses of moving machinery and smokestacks spewing dark air pollution into the skies, similar to the Machine Moon Base in Zeo; the palace is also surrounded by what may be some sort of heavily-polluted body of water. The palace is also home to Tenaya 7, Kilobyte, General Shifter, and General Crunch. New Attack Bots are built here, and Venjix's drone attack vehicles also launch from here (they are normally seen emerging from a network of caves somewhere within the palace's exterior rock walls). The palace is heavily guarded by Venjix's Grinders. The location of the palace is somewhere within the vast wasteland created by Venjix.
Venjix itself resides within an inner chamber, limited to a silver-and-red pillar with the characteristic Venjix "eye" that can swivel around; the "eye" is also equipped with a laser function (for Venjix to blast his underlings with), while his Grinders guard the chamber along the back wall. When Venjix is active in one of his bodily forms, the pillar is inactive, but he returns to it if the body is destroyed or inoperable. His inner circle, including Tenaya, Crunch, Shifter and later Kilobyte, are typically found in this chamber; new Attack Bots (as well as Venjix's bodies) are typically unveiled by means of a large crane claw that hoists the Attack Bot up through a large hexagonal hole in the floor, presumably from an unseen manufacturing area (when General Shifter was destroyed, his components were recycled through this same port). A circular hallway is concealed by a large round door bearing the Venjix symbol, which can rise up into the ceiling as necessary. Whenever a monster is grown with the command "Begin the download, now!" (typically uttered by Venjix, but in some cases others gave the order), the circuitry-bearing back walls of the inner chamber, as well as a cylindrical section (possibly either a computer core or a reactor of some kind) shine with light (and the Venjix symbol briefly "flashes"), presumably to indicate the download going through. This same effect was also used when Venjix uploaded himself into his first body, though not on subsequent occasions.
It is unknown what happens to the palace after Venjix's defeat at the end of RPM, making it one of the few villainous lairs to survive the villains.
