"GRAAH! Treevil at your service."
―Treevil's first lines after being summoned by Jinxer.[src]

"Whoa!"
―Treevil's last words.[src]

Treevil is a tree demon who serves as the primary antagonist of the episode "In the Limelight", he is Bansheera's (technically Vypra's) final monster to battle the Lightspeed Rangers.

History[]

Treevil was first seen in the Shadow World amongst a mass of defeated demons. Tvicon TV STORY-Sorcerer of the Sands (episode)

Treevil was later among the demons absorbed by Olympius. Tvicon TV STORY-Olympius Unbound

Later, Jinxer created him out of an ordinary tree upon Vypra's suggestion. Jinxer and Vypra sent him to destroy Mariner Bay. Treevil then attacked an industrial area, where he battled the Lightspeed Rangers (with Dana being absent as she was at a studio being the new "Glitz Girl"). He had the upper hand until Joel used his Mega Battle on him. He retreated after defeating Joel and Kelsey, and was later seen again wreaking havoc in a construction site and manages to reflect four V-Lancers' Spectra Blast attack (due to Dana not being here again). Treevil turned to Kelsey and was about to finish her off with his Acorn Bomb, but Dana came to the rescue and the demon was finally destroyed by the five V-Lancers' combined Spectra Blast. Treevil was revived by Jinxer as a giant. The monster shot some vines from underground to tear it up for the Lightspeed Megazord to fall in, but it pulled itself up and he was destroyed by the Lightspeed Megazord Saber. Treevil was an arrogant monster that loved to cause havoc on Mariner Bay, but he was shown to be loyal to Vypra.

Behind the Scenes[]

Portrayal[]

Design[]

to be added

Etymology[]

  • Treevil's name comes from the words Tree and Evil.

Notes[]

  • Treevil appeared as a boss in Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue (video game) on the Game Boy Color prior to his appearance on the show.
  • While not as weak as the Gold Beaked Monster previously, despite Treevil being the Final Monster of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, he posses very little in powers and when as a giant, Treevil was defeated by the Lightspeed Megazord.
    • The reason for this is because in the Japanes Version of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (GoGoFive), Earthquake Saima Beast Quakeross(Treevil's Super Senti Counterpart) is a monster who appeared in an early episode, which is Ep. 5: Time to Become a Hero, in which he was actually the fifth monster to appear in the show, this explains why Treevil is shown to be more weaker when compare to previous monsters fought by the Lightspeed Rescue Power Rangers.
  • He is the last monster to be destroyed by the Lightspeed Megazord.
