The episode begins and shows a space ship flying to the Earth. Then KAGV Studio is shown and Tanya works as the hostess of the musical TV Show now. Then Katherine comes and greets her good friend and praises Tanya with her new job. But suddenly they hear a voice via the music columns and someone asks them to allow him to talk to Dimitria.

Meanwhile at the submarine of Divatox, Porto tells Elgar and Rygog that he caught a signal from space and it comes from the space ship. Elgar laughs on Porto's application. Divatox asks her henchmen what did the signal said. Elgar thinks it is just a game, but Porto tells Divatox that an unknown individual wants to talk to Dimitria. Divatox becomes interested in the signal and orders Porto to find the source of signal and orders Rygog to prepare the Destruction Beam. Elgar asks his aunt and mistress what he can do for her, but she refuses his offer and tells Elgar to play. Porto told Divatox that the signal used the frequency of the KAGV Studio, so Divatox ordered Elgar to bring the detonator to the studio and destroy it. Elgar is glad and Divatox says that she doesn't want the Rangers to hear the message.

While Tanya and Katherine decide to go to the Power Chamber and tell Dimitria about the signal. But Tanya can't leave the studio during the show now so Katherine decided to teleport alone and Tanya told her friend to report if she finds something.

Meanwhile in Angel Grove Youth Center, Bulk & Skull, still transformed into apes, listening to Tanya's show via the radio, and Bulk has an idea.

Elgar arrives at the studio and places the detonator on the TV tower and he is proud of his job.

In the Power Chamber, Adam, Katherine, and Alpha discover who sent a signal. It is Visceron an old friend of Dimitria. Adam tells Alpha to show the picture of Visceron on the computer screen and Alpha does it. Visceron connects the Rangers via the computer console. Visceron tells Dimitria that he possesses a piece of important news, but he can't tell it now, because their talk can be heard. Alpha thinks Visceron has a piece of bad news.

Divatox and Elgar hear their talk and Divatox orders Rygog to capture Visceron and bring him to her because she thought the information which he was bringing to Dimitria was also important to her. Elgar was proud of his job. While Tanya is still running her show on the KAGV station, Visceron is flying to Earth and is glad but Rygog found Visceron and ordered Porto to fire with a Capture Beam in sector 197. Porto fired at Visceron's ship, crashing it and making it fall.

Adam and Katherine see Visceron disappear and Alpha explains that it was caused by Divatox. Dimitria asks her friend where is he, but Visceron disappears.

At the submarine of Divatox, Rygog is delighted with their success, and Divatox orders the Piranhatrons to bring Visceron to her.

Tanya hears her Turbo Navigator and learns about the detonator at the station.

Visceron is captured by Piranthatrons and brought to Divatox. Divatox tells Visceron to tell her the important information meant for Dimitria. But Visceron, as a noble creature, refuses to tell her. Divatox even offers Visceron to join her, even telling that she is disappointed by her henchmen. After Visceron refuses to tell her the information and also refuses to join her, Divatox orders to throw him in the sea cave, and the Piranhatrons do it.

Tanya tries to contact her friends and tell about the detonator but she couldn't reach them. Adam asks Alpha if he restored the signal of Visceron and Alpha answers that he didn't. Katherine tries to connect Tanya, but there is no connection, and Alpha discovers that the radio signals are blocking the signal of the navigator. Adam tells Alpha to try to clean the signal.

In the sea cave, Elgar and Porto come to Visceron and he still refuses to tell them his information. Divatox orders them to brainwash Visceron and turn him into their servant. Porto uses his special transformation spray, saying that it doesn't hurt, and turns Visceron into a strange creature with a big head. The transformation also reduces his intellect. Elgar gives Visceron a cloak and orders him to wash dishes for Divatox. Visceron is happy and asks where are the dishes and says that he will start without them. Visceron, now brainwashed, is delighted and enjoys washing dishes and clothes, vacuuming the floor, and dusting the furniture. Visceron asks Divatox if he could clean something else. Divatox is annoyed with Visceron's dumbness and he continues cleaning the dirt.

Tanya tries to connect Adam and Kat but doesn't have much success and wonders what she's gonna do.

Katherine hears Tanya's voice and Tanya says that she is ordered to make melody about the Power Rangers. The girl tells her friends that she hoped everyone is listening to the song. Tanya says the melody is called "I need your help" and it is "the bomb", cluing Adam in on what was going on. Katherine and Adam morphed and went to the radio station to get the detonator. Alpha tells his friends that Tommy and Justin will meet them there. Adam and Kat arrive at the station and start seeking the detonator.

Divatox watches them and orders Porto to send the Piranhatrons to the station. Divatox also sends Visceron and Porto to the station.

Adam and Kat battle the Pirahnatrons and then Tommy and Justin arrive. Tommy says that they hurried to come. While the heroes fight the Piranhatrons, the detonator workes. The boys continue seeking the detonator and Kat goes to Tanya.

Porto and Visceron arrive at the station. Porto tells Visceron the orders of Divatox. Divatox orders Visceron to protect the detonator by the cost of his life. Visceron calls Porto Portic and due to his highly limited mind, misunderstands the order and thinks that he has to protect the detonator by the cost of his wife and declares that he isn't married. Porto is angry and tells Visceron that it's his life, not wife, and calls Visceron an idiot. Porto declares that with Visceron's deformed mind, even Elgar is Einstein beside him. Porto is annoyed by Visceron's low intelligence and leaves. Visceron is thrilled and waits for the danger.

Tanya wonders if her friends heard her signal. Katherine comes to Tanya and she asks did the Rangers hear her signal. Kat answers that they have to find the detonator and Tanya says that the navigator finds the signal on the TV tower. Tanya morphs to seek the detonator. She activates the long track and the girls leave.

When the Rangers arrive at the station, they meet Visceron. The heroes don't recognize him in his mutated form and battle their friend. Visceron throws Tanya at the tower and she finds the detonator. Visceron struggles to get the detonator, but it explodes, heavily injuring him. The explosion also reverted him to normal. The Rangers realize that it is Visceron and he is heavily injured.

Divatox and her minions laughed at Visceron who is killed by the Rangers, his own friends. However the Rangers bring Visceron to the Command Center and they are upset as they think that it is too late. The heroes also realized that Divatox is truly devious. However Dimitria used her powers to heal Visceron. The healed Visceron told Dimitria that register of birth, rate on Inquiris, is fake. Visceron said that Dimitria always thought she was the only child of her parents, but it's not true. Visceron told Dimitria that she has a twin sister, much to her shock.

Adam, Tanya, and Kat are surprised that Dimitria has a twin sister and wonder how Dimitria will find her. Adam says that Dimitria is wise and will find her sister. Kat thanks Tanya for connecting them via the radio. Then Tanya hurries to return to her show. Bulk & Skull, still as apes, work as DJs and trie to call the Rangers but unsuccessfully. However Lieutenant Stone notices their voices. Tanya takes the phone. Adam thinks they have a problem. But Tanya says that Mr. Marshall, the manager of the radio station, decided that it is an excellent idea to put the apes into the show. Katherine says that the apes saved Tanya. She is grateful to Bulk & Skull, still not realizing who they are.

Cast

Errors

  • When the Rangers first start fighting the Pirahnatrons, the detonator has four minutes left to set off. After the fight, however, it suddenly had seven minutes to set off.
  • The 'On Air' light was on when Kat and Tanya were discussing Ranger business.
  • For some reason Tanya was unable to reach anyone with her communicator after her Turbo Navigator detected the detonator.
  • The Rangers didn't attempt to use their Turbo Navigators to find the detonator.
  • The beeping on the detonator timer didn't match what was on the display (for instance, the display read fifteen seconds at one point but there were far more than fifteen beeps between that and the explosion.

Notes

  • This episode aired the same day as Big Bad BeetleborgsIcon-crosswiki episode 46, Svengali, By GollyIcon-crosswiki.
  • This is a rare occasion that a monster destroys himself by accident.
  • Visceron's big news that Dimitria has a long-lost twin sister was originally intended to be a running sub-plot for Turbo, with the result being Divatox was the missing sibling, but it was quickly dropped. The only real hint at any resolution is In Space's "Countdown to Destruction" where Divatox, after being purified by Zordon's energy wave, is seen wearing Dimitria-style attire.
  • Elgar breaks the fourth wall by directly addressing the viewers about the irony of the Rangers defeating their own ally.
  • This episode’s title is based on the movie title, Mission Impossible.
  • This is the first Power Rangers episode to use Super Sentai recorded digital D-2 cassette footage, it would be the main recording for the remainder of the late 1990s and early 2000s through Time Force.
