The Transformation Device Ninja StarBurger (変身デバイス忍者スターバーガー Henshin Debaisu Ninja Sutā Bāgā) is the transformation device for StarNinger.
Transformation
By opening up the burger and inserting the activated StarNinger Shuriken, followed by pressing the red-white button located on the side of the device, the Ninja StarBurger announces "The Change!" (ザ・チェンジ！ Za Chenji!). Transformation starts when StarNinger calls out "Shuriken Change!" (シュリケンチェンジ！ Shuriken Chenji!) , spins the shuriken and clams up the device to activate the command, creating a energy shuriken in the shape of the StarNinger Shuriken, which then lowers itself over Kinji, forming the StarNinger suit, with a second energy shuriken forming the helmet.
The device can also function as a Youkai detector on its own, often with much more sensitivity to the presence of Youkai than the Gama Gama Guns that the core Ninningers possess. When it detects a Youkai, the device rings like a mobile phone alarm and the screen displays a page that reads "Yokai Detected!!" (妖怪出見！！ Youkai Shutsuken!!) in both English and Japanese, with a frog "app" popping out right in the middle. As a result of this in-built higher sensitivity, the StarBurger can pick up Youkai signals and react to the user before the Ninningers' Gama Gama Guns can react to the same Youkai.
Summoning
The Ninja StarBurger is also used by StarNinger to simultaneously summon his two personal companions that form BisonKing: Rodeomaru and Bison Buggy, by replacing the StarNinger Shuriken with the OtomoNin Shuriken: Bison, and with the color of the Shuriken resembling the "beef patty", making the device look like a Hamburger in the process. Pressing the same button with the OtomoNin Shuriken in the StarBurger will allow it to announce "The Come On!" (ザ・カモン！ Za Kamon!) until StarNinger spins the Shuriken to summon both OtomoNin in one go, while chanting "Who are you? Wow~ow!" (フー・アー・ユウ？ウォーウォ！ Fū ā yū? Uō~uo!)
Notes
- This is the second food-based transformation device, after the Sushi Changer from Samurai Sentai Shinkenger and the first one based on a hamburger on Super Sentai.
- Like the Sushi Changer, it also seems to double as a cellphone (specifically a smartphone, due to its "apps"). The difference is that its cellphone capabilities are seldom used outside of its frog-like "app" that detects Youkai.
- It's not the first time a hamburger leads to a transformation: in the MMPR episode Crystal of Nightmares, Farkas Bulkmeier transformed into a "Ranger form" using a hamburger in a dream.
- The StarBurger bears some resemblance to the Burgermeal Foodroid
from Kamen Rider Fourze. - The music played when summoning Rodeomaru and Bison Buggy is reminiscent of the tune Go Go Power Rangers. Considering that Kinji comes from America, this could be a reference to how Super Sentai is adapted into Power Rangers.
