Time Force Traitor is the twenty-sixth episode of Power Rangers Time Force.

Synopsis[]

Steelix, Jen's old Time Force partner, seeks revenge on Jen for getting him locked up. He steals her Morpher, fights her on her own, then turns her insane. Wes breaks Jen out of the spell, and all of the Rangers defeat Steelix.

Plot[]

The Rangers are unloading deliveries as part of an odd job. Lucas and Trip almost drop a large crate, but Katie catches it and effortlessly lifts it due to her enhanced strength. A mysterious figure spies on Jen from atop a parking structure, and quickly retreats once she notices him. Wes asks Jen what is wrong, but Jen insists that it is nothing.

Later that night at the clock tower, the other Rangers relax and watch the news while Jen and Wes make cookies. Wes asks how they are able to survive in the year 3000 without any cookies. Jen states that there is no junk food of any kind in the future, and Wes replies that it sounds like torture. Jen accidentally knocks the eggs onto the floor, and leaves by herself to buy more despite Wes offering to accompany her.

As Jen is walking back with her supplies, she notices a cloaked figure pursuing her. Frightened, Jen begins to run. She pulls out her Chrono Blaster but doesn't see anything. The cloaked figure emerges from the shadows and surprises Jen, and he addresses her as his "partner."

Wes is prepared to go out and look for Jen when she returns bruised and injured. Jen contacts Captain Logan, and tells him that "Steelix" has been unfrozen, and asks him to send all of Steelix's records to Circuit. Logan warns Jen that Steelix will stop at nothing to capture her, and tells her to be careful. Wes demands to know who Steelix is, and Lucas tells him that Steelix was Jen's first partner at Time Force. Steelix betrayed his fellow officers when he sold secret information to Ransik for money on the side. Jen was the first one to find out and reported him. Steelix was convicted and sentenced to cryo-freeze, but not before swearing vengeance on Jen. Wes asserts that Steelix has no chance against all five of them, but Jen reveals that he took her Chrono Morpher.

Over at Time Force HQ, Captain Logan tells his superior officer, the mystery man who has been sending the Time Flyers and Time Shadow to the year 2001, that Steelix has been released, and promises to keep him updated.

Jen prepares to track down Steelix by herself before Wes stops her. She insists that she has no choice, despite the others' protests. Wes reminds Jen that they are all Time Force officers and they must all stick together. Wes asks Jen if she trusts him, and Jen says that she does. Together, the Rangers form a plan to draw out Steelix. Jen hears Steelix's voice beckoning her, and leaves her position, which alarms the other Rangers. Jen is greeted by a jack-in-the-box of Steelix, which tells her to meet him in an old warehouse in two hours if she wants her morpher back. Jen tells the other Rangers that Steelix didn't fall for their trap, but she decides not to tell them about Steelix's message. Wes tells Jen that she cannot go anywhere without one of the others accompanying her until Steelix is found.

Katie and Trip are researching Steelix's past when Wes and Lucas return. When Jen is nowhere to be found, they all realize she snuck off to the warehouse without telling them. Jen beckons Steelix to come get her, and he tosses her morpher aside before attacking her. Jen manages to disarm Steelix and retrieve her morpher, allowing Circuit to track her location. The other Rangers leave to assist Jen as she continues to battle Steelix. Steelix offers to be Jen's partner again, and she flatly refuses. Steelix responds by spraying Jen with a gaseous substance, and he retreats when the Rangers bust into the warehouse. Wes tends to Jen and tells the others to go after Steelix. Jen regains consciousness but falls under Steelix's mind control, and she attack Wes. The other Rangers battle Steelix outside while Wes attempts to get Jen to snap out of her brainwashed state.

The other Rangers continue to battle Steelix while Wes tries to get through to Jen. Wes tightly embraces Jen and desperately tells her that Time Force officers have to stick together. Jen remembers Wes' words from earlier, and she is freed from her mind-controlled state. Wes once again asks Jen if she trusts him, and she confirms that she does. Wes and Jen morph and join the others against Steelix. Steelix attempts to blast the Rangers when Eric shows up and momentarily stuns him. Eric morphs into the Quantum Ranger as Steelix summons the Cyclobots. The Rangers battle the Cyclobots while Jen single-handedly takes down Steelix.

Steelix grows into a giant and attacks with incredible firepower. The Time Force Rangers form the Shadow Force Megazord and the Quantum Ranger summons the Q-Rex Megazord. Steelix nearly wins, but Wes knocks his gun from his hand, leaving Steelix disarmed and vulnerable. Wes orders Eric to leave the capture to them and then freezes Steelix with a Time Target attack.

Back at the Clock Tower, the captured Steelix is placed into containment with the other mutants. Jen informs Captain Logan that Steelix won't be going anywhere this time, and the Captain is impressed with her good work. Jen bakes a new batch of cookies for Wes as an apology for all the injuries she inflicted on him while she was under Steelix's control. Wes is touched by the gesture and asks the other Rangers if they would like cookies as well; they all immediately decline. Wes bites into a cookie, but it tastes terrible and he quickly spits it out, causing the others to laugh. Jen is offended initially, but she bites into a cookie and also thinks it is terrible.

Captain Logan informs the mystery man that Steelix has been recaptured. The mystery man is pleased, but he comments that the future is shifting and that it may be time for him to get directly involved with the Rangers' mission.
