Takashi Sakamoto was a suit actor for Grifforzer in Zyuranger. He played the character for most of the scenes in Bandora's Palace while battle sequences were done by Kazutoshi Yokoyama. Scenes of both Sakamoto and Yokoyama's Grifforzer were used for Goldar in the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Sakamoto's Goldar scenes stopped being used after season 2's first episode, and the character was portrayed from then on by Danny Wayne Stallcup in American-exclusive footage (except in Goldar's Vice-Versa, where archive footage of Yokoyama in the Grifforzer costume was used for the Megazord fight in that episode).
