Princess Shayla sing the Song of Animaria to regain the Deer Zord's trust.

The Song of Animaria, or Ode to Nature, is a song in which Princess Shayla would sing to the Deer Zord with Merrick accompany on the flute.

Story

Princess Shayla and Merrick would perform the song every morning for the Deer Zord in order to keep him content should the need for his powers ever be needed. When the war against the Orgs broke out 3000 years ago, they suddenly stopped playing for the Deer and he didn't know why.

In the episode "Sing Song," the Deer Zord returned but still had a grudge toward Merrick and Princess Shayla for abandoning him. After they played the song for him one more time, the Deer assisted the Rangers in defeating Tombstone Org. The morning ritual continued from that day on.

In the episode "The Flute," the Flute Org interrupted the song after he came to life. Though Merrick was aware it was someone else, Princess Shayla accused Merrick of ruining the song on purpose and never wanted to sing with him again. They later made up and sang the song to allow the Deer Zord to break the Flute Org's control over the Rangers. After the Flute Org's defeat, and the surprising return of Animus, as Merrick began walking away, Princess Shayla reminded him they had to sing for the Deer tomorrow morning.

The song somewhat parallels Emma's song from Power Rangers Megaforce. Both songs are about nature and were both sung in order to defeat the enemy.

Lyrics

Each day when the sun rises, I hurry from my sleep,
I can't wait to greet you with my song.
You are every kind of flower, every animal I meet,
You are nature full of grace and majesty.
From your skies the snow gently falls to the earth,
From your tress the birds nest and play.
From your oceans the fish school and travel the world,
Oh, nature, please don't ever go away.
Each day when the sun rises, I hurry from my sleep,
I can't wait to greet you with my song.
You are every kind of flower, every animal I meet,
Nature you are grace and majesty.
