Return of the Green Ranger

From Power Rangers Universe

This article is about a/an episode in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Another bright & shiny day at Angel Grove High School. Inside Ms. Appleby's classroom, the burly teacher erases writing on the chalkboard, and reveals the homework to the students. She says, "Which period in history would you have liked to have lived? These are the subjects for your assignment. So, enjoy your three-day weekend, everyone!" Billy seems especially excited to be getting extra homework for the added school-less day. The room full of students comes alive with the teens exiting at the sound of the bell. Notice Bulk & Skull in the back of the room. Seems this bit of footage is recycled from "When Is A Ranger Not A Ranger?", as Bulk has his hair down and is playing with the pencil in his mouth. He stands up, and the entire top of his desk comes off! When the scene cuts, we find the Ranger teens walking around an area of the school we've never seen before, with Bulk & Skull following behind, along with other nameless extras. Billy, Bulk & Skull are wearing totally different outfits than they just had on a few seconds ago! Err, ignoring that, Bulk mocks Appleby's statement to his pal in a funny voice, ""Enjoy your three-day weekend everyone!"" Skull scoffs, as he sips a drink from a plastic cup, remarking, "Yeah! The stupid assignment!" The Ranger teens break off from the bumbling duo, and proceed to sit down a table in a park like section of the school, that we've never seen them at before. Kimberly starts discussing Appleby's assignment, saying, "Let's see, if I were to go back in time... I would definitely go back to last year when they had that huge sale on at the Galleria, remember, and I was out sick with the flu?" Aisha laughs at her best friend's squandering of time travel plans, noting, "Kim, I think we're supposed to go back a LITTLE farther back in time." Kim giggles, and the girls sit next to Adam & Billy at the table. Rocky & Tommy take their time approaching their pals, with Rocky stating, "I think i'd like to be in... Viking times. I always loved those books!" Tommy chuckles, and adds, "I'd like to have lived in the days of... King Arthur!" He then proceeds to swing his arm around like he was carrying a sword. His friends get a laugh out of his enthusiasm, but secretly harbor intense resentment for his predictable mindset.

Meanwhile, on the Evil Moon Palace, Lord Zedd eavesdrops on our heroes, remarking aloud in equal resentment, "If I could, I would send them ALL back in time! Then they would be out of my way forever!" Goldar, who fails to point out Zedd did sort of try to send the Rangers back in time recently and pretty much failed, does bring up something we weren't privy to. He says, "Didn't the Ghost Of Darkness conjure up some wizard once that had those special powers, my lord?" Zedd confirms, "Yes, but the Ghost is Rita's creation, but she's been so touchy lately I don't know if she'll talk to him!" Goldar gets testy, saying, "Why don't you ORDER her to talk to him, sire?!" Zeddy grumbles, "You fool! You know Rita! That won't work!" Goldar apologizes, nodding and saying, "Yes, I forgot!" The flesh & metal master of evil notes, "If you want something nice out of Rita, you have to ask her nicely. Deliver my request with my warmest regards. Hahaha." Goldar departs to do his bidding, when Zedd adds, "And one more thing, Goldar. Remind Rita that no wife of mine shall EVER be allowed to fail me!" Goldar obeys, raspily saying, "Yes!" This causes Lord Zedd to pause, as he scratches his exposed brain tissue and asks himself, "Why DID I marry her, anyway?" Goldar remarks, "Good question!", prompting his overlord to shout, "What?!" The henchmonster backs off and stutters, trying to play off his remark by stating, "Uhh, I was just saying.. we could send the Power Rangers back in time!" Lord Zedd screams at the golden goon, pointing out, "I already said that! Now go! And don't come back until you've delivered my request!" Goldar growls and grovels, leaving to do the deed assigned to him. Zedd breathes heavily through his silver grilled facemask, and sits down on his throne, while talking to himself, "The Power Rangers will become nothing more than a faded memory. And I will finally control the world. AhaheheheahahHahahahhAHEHEHAHAHAH!" He spins his throne around, and we get a fullscreen image of the big golden Z on the back of his chair.

Back at the park area of Angel Grove High, we find Bulk & Skull sitting on a bench, playing thumb wrestling against each other. Bulk pins Skull's thumb down, and wins the round. A few feet away, the Ranger teens are lounging at the table, continuing their discussion of the topic from class. Rocky asks, "So what about you, Billy? What period of time would you like to have lived in?" Behind him, one of the buildings has a sign that reads in big letters "MacArthur Pavilion". Billy replies, "Well, that's an easy one. Back in the '30s with Albert Einstein. Course, uhh, I'd have to be his assistant." His teammates snicker over his statement, while Skull loudly struggles to free his thumb from Bulk's clutches in the background. Adam continues the discussion, saying, "Of course. Man, this is a tough one for me." Aisha eggs him on, mentioning, "C'mon, Adam! There's gotta be SOME period of time you'd be interested in." Kim wiggles her eyebrows and encourages by telling him, "Don't be shy!" Adam finally breaks out, saying, "I'm not! Okay, maybe the Renaissance time. Everything seemed... I dunno... romantic?" Aisha can only reply by saying, "Awww!", Kim calls it, "That's so sweet!", and the guys all laugh at his sensitivity. Behind them, Skull loses another round, and forces his hand out from Bulk's with a strong pull. Bulk overhears Adam's words, and brings them up to Skull, as he says, "Ehh, did you hear that?! That makes me sick!" Skull scoffs, "Romantic?! Heh! Get a load of that geek!" Bulk tells his buddy, "Let's get out of here!", and the two quickly rush as far away from our heroes as they can waddle. Kim lets us know how her homework is going, as she says, "Okay, I finished all my math, my history... that means I just have.. English!" Her teammates/ friends don't look too excited by her revelation, likely because the line was dubbed in weeks later.

Meanwhile, images of star clusters and galaxy swirls (which Joe Rovang would end up using prominently on his Writer's Guide) appear, implying that Rita Repulsa is off on some planet far away or something. She's on her knees before a very creepy altar, made up two rock slabs, with a set of red crystals between it, and another blue set atop a platform above them. A large skull head is placed against that, with glowing humanoid eyeballs within it. The entire altar seems to glow with constant evil magic, fog and mist swarming all around the area, as well as flashes of lightning. This entire scene contradicts the earlier statement of the Ghost being Rita's creation, as she seems to worship this entity like she did with Lokar back in season 1. She bows continuously and proclaims, "Oh, Ghost Of Darkness, my husband, Lord Zedd, has sent me before you." The skullhead talks in a deep, echoing voice, saying, "I heard about the wedding. What can I do for you, my evil child?" Rita puts it bluntly, "Zedd has come up with a ridiculous plan to get rid of those Power Brats by sending them back in time!" The Ghost Of Darkness tells her, "The Wizard Of Deception can carry that out. But as long as the White Ranger leads them, you will never get rid of them completely." Rita agrees, "My point exactly! You can send the Rangers back in time, send them to the moon, send them anywhere, but they always have the White Ranger to lead them back!" She gets rowdy with her hands, gesturing them around, and causing red magic energy to course out from her palms as she says all this. The Ghost puts things straight, "Therefore, you must destroy the White Ranger." Rita exclaims, "At last! Somebody as intelligent as I am! How do we do it?" The Ghost Of Darkness, aka Skullhead Jones, explains, "The White Ranger is quick-thinking, wise and strong. He can only be defeated by another such as he. The Wizard Of Deception will get rid of the others and create the being who will finally destroy the White Ranger." The red set of crystals below his head seem to be focused on by the camera a little too much during this scene, so perhaps that is where the Wizard springs from. A huge flaming fireball streaks to the planet Earth, and lands rather incognativly in the bushes somewhere in Angel Grove. The ball forms into the humanoid demon creature named the Wizard Of Deception, who exclaims, "Surprise, Zordon! I'm back!" They seem to be old rivals or something, but their history isn't elaborated upon. The Wizard wears a long, body concealing black robe & cape, with his face rather yellowish and alien-like jack-o-lantern-esque skull face. Inside the eyesockets, and between the fanged teeth, it appears that an eternal fire is raging within. We know that it is but a deception, since he's got rather long black hair which would burst into flames were this true. He also has a tiny wand in his possession, which has a skull on it resembling the Ghost Of Darkness. Rita continues bowing before the Ghost, and cries, "Ghost Of Darkness, thank you! Lord Zedd's gonna love this!"

The Wizard Of Deception ducks down in the bushes, and laughs diabolically, as he awaits the arrival of two very strange individuals. It's Bulk & Skull, who wander through the park (passing over a small bridge and pond that looks oddly out of place for Angel Grove. You know, why didn't they just stretch out the "we're on vacation in Australia" plot from "The Wedding" instead of trying and failing to make us think this is California?!). Bulk tells his pal his latest scheme, "Okay, Skull. It got an idea. From now on, we go to school every day and we try to get... an education!" Skull can't help but laugh in his trademark hyenia-like manner. Bulk appears serious on this idea, until the two of them bump into the Wizard! He lets out a wicked chuckle, and tells them, "Look into my eyes!" His flame-covered eyes suddenly burst out two bolts of orange energy bolts. The both of which lock on to Bulk & Skull's eyes, snaring them in a trance before they can react. The bumbling duo can only let their mouths go agape, as they're placed under the Wizard's spell. He informs them, "You will do as I command!" Bulk & Skull obey, speaking in unison in monotone, "Yes, Master." The Wizard goes on to say, "You will go and seek a human named Tommy, and bring me a sample of his hair, so that I may clone another of his image and strength!" He hands over a rather normal looking pair of scissors to Bulk, his arm glowing as he does this. Note though, the Wizard Of Deception has perfectly normal looking humanoid hands, his skin appearing Caucasian with a bit of scorching. Bulk holds the scissors in his hand, and Skull, also obeying the same orders, holds his two of his own fingers outward like they were scissors as well. The now-mindless lackeys speak together again, "Yes, master!" The Wizard orders them, "Now go!" They say once more, "Yes, master!", but remaining standing before him. He repeats himself, they repeat themselves, and he grows quite frustrated and angry. Aiming his wand at their feet and zapping some magic at them, the Wizard causing both Bulk & Skull to leap up into the air, as their legs are placed under what appears to be a walking spell, their legs leading their zombie-like bodies quickly through the park. The WoD watches them stumble away, and he shakes his head, sighing in disgust, "Humans."

Meanwhile, inside the Evil Moon Palace, Finster is wasting time mixing up some strange concoction in his workshop. I guess he's planning a career as a bartender on Onyx or something. Rita Repulsa enters and says in her usual loud scratchy voice, "Oh, Finster!" He turns his attention to her, as loyal as ever, asking, "Yes, my queen?" She tells him with an evil smile and maniacal glee, "I did it! The Wizard Of Deception is going to create another Tommy!" Finster claps his white paws together and exclaims, "Why, that's a brilliant idea, my queen!" Rita concurs, "Yes! With our own little Tommy I can recreate the evil Green Ranger and defeat those Power Brats once & for all! Ahahaha!" It's so refreshing to not have to deal with a Rita who's made up of the same stock footage shots over and over, isn't it? Back on Earth, Tommy & Kim walk hand in hand over a small bridge in the park. He asks his girlfriend, "So, what are you up to this weekend?" She replies, "Well, the weather's so nice I might just sit outside and read a book! Want to join me?" Tommy's all for it, telling her "yep", and the two laugh & smile, as they make their way over to a bench in the rather lovely plant decorated section of the city. Little do they know, that the zombified Bulk & Skull are trailing behind them. Bulk has the scissors cutting into the air wildly, and Skull does the same with his own two fingers (look close enough and you'll see that several times he almost gets cut by Bulk's aimless chopping!). Tommy asks his galpal, "So, what about me and you catch a movie later?" Kim turns him down, "Actually, you know what? I promised Aisha i'd go to the mall with her. Wanna go?" He's reluctant to shop, and gives a slight groan. Before he can answer, they both spot Bulk & Skull crawling on the ground, trying in vain to sneak up on Tommy. Kim cheerfully greets them, "Hi guys!" They rise up onto their knees, and stare at the Ranger teens, still in their spell state. Tommy asks, "Are you guys okay?" The bumbling duo glance at each other with mindless faces, before saying in unison, "Yes, we're okay." They then quickly stand up and rush away from the scene before their plans can be further spoiled by questioning.

Tommy looks at Kim and gestures his hand to his head in such a way to imply calling Bulk & Skull crazy. She laughs heartily, especially when he tells her, "I worry about them sometimes." Bulk & Skull haven't gone far, as they try sneaking up on him again, with the pair of pinking shears getting slowly closer to Tommy's long locks. Tommy's preoccupied with Kim, telling her, "Anyway, uhh, so you and Aisha are going to mall, huh? So, uhh, i'm gonna go work out, and i'll meet you guys there." Just before Bulk is about to trim off a piece of his hair, Tommy snaps his body around and demands to know, "What are you guys doing?!" Bulk hides the scissors under his armpit, and Skull presses his two fingers up against the lenses of his sunglasses, both trying to conceal their intentions. They reply to his demands by simply stating together, "Nothing." They then crawl on their knees away from the bench, leaving Tommy shaking his head in confusion, and Kim wondering, "What was all that about?" Tommy scoffs, "With those two, who knows!" Bulk & Skull are back on their bedazzled feet, and stumbling off through the park, with Bulk mumbling, "Must find the master!" Kimberly appears to have lost her short term memory from this distraction, as she tells Tommy, "Alright, well, I better go meet Aisha. You want to go?" Tommy says roughly what he just told her again, "No, you know what? I gotta go work out. But I tell ya what, i'll meet ya there." He playfully slaps her hand, she giggles, and they bid goodbye to each other, going their separate ways. Tommy ends up heading in the direction Bulk & Skull went, and speaking of them, the bumbling duo wind up back where they started from. They march over to the Wizard Of Deception (who hasn't moved an inch from his bush-side spot), standing before him without a single strand of White Ranger's hair. He scolds them, "You miserable, useless humans! Why do I have to do everything myself?!" The Wizard aims his wand at Bulk & Skull, apparently freeing them from both the servant and walking spells he placed earlier. They tumble over each other, and fall to the ground in a heap, knocked unconscious by the magical liberation.

Tommy walks around the pond, says hello to a couple of passing girls, and continues on his merry way. He's alone when he ends up at the area where the Wizard Of Deception is hiding, the strange & evil creature popping up from the bushes in a flash of fire. He tells the surprised Ranger teen, "Ah-ha! Hello, Tommy. I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to meet you!" As the Wizard laughs wickedly, Tommy remains frozen in his tracks, looking around alertly, and standing poised for battle the minute this odd creature makes the first move. On the moon, Lord Zedd is checking out the scene with his Z-Vision. He turns from the balcony and (with Goldar at his side) faces about six of his Putty Patrollers. Zedd commands, "Excellent! The Wizard has the White Ranger cornered. Putties! Get down there, on the double!" Back down in the park, the Wizard Of Deception informs Tommy, "I have something very special planned for you!" Tommy finally snaps back to reality, and lifts his wrist, pressing the button on his Communicator. He calls out, "Zordon, Alpha, come in! I need your help!" At the Command Center, Alpha stares at the Viewing Globe and exclaims, "Ay-yi-yi! Tommy's in trouble!" Zordon confirms, "Right, Alpha. That's my old rival, the Wizard Of Deception." Alpha gasps, "Oh dear! I had better call the other Rangers immediately." Zordon tells him to hurry, and Alpha quickly presses a few buttons, before raising his hands into the air and lamenting, "The Wizard Of Deception! There's no telling what he'll do!" At the park, the Putties are all lined up in two rows, with the sixth Putty backflipping down the center. Tommy spots their entrance, and instantly leaps into the air, launching himself into unmorphed combat. He starts thrashing his legs into a lone Putty, knocking it down, and awaiting battle with the rest of them.

Elsewhere, back near the school, Billy, Adam & Rocky are still sitting at the outdoor table. Adam remarks, "Well, this isn't a bad assignment, but I can think of a lot more fun things to do on a three-day weekend." Rocky smiles and nods, hopefully realizing that since they'll probably all be done with the homework by the time the three-day weekend finally starts tomorrow. Their Communicators go off, and with a precautionary peek to their surroundings to be sure no one is watching, Billy answers the call, "Alpha, what's going on?" Alpha 5 replies, "Teleport to the park! Tommy's in trouble!" Adam asks, "What about Kimberly & Aisha?" Alpha answers, "I'll contact them. Hurry!" The three seem a bit reluctant, silently questioning Alpha's signal, for good reasons. Remember, in the mini-series before this, Alpha had gone evil and sent the team into a trap. They take a leap of faith, trusting the automaton's guidance, and picking up their backpacks before rushing off to find a more secluded area to teleport out of. At the CC, Alpha tells Zordon's giant blue head, "The Rangers are in their way, Zordon!" He states, "They must be careful, Alpha. The Wizard has the power to create illusions that become reality." He sounds like a Phasm! Say, those crystals the WoD popped out of sorta resembled the top of a pipe organ. He's not Flabber's evil cousin, is he? Anyhow, Alpha raises his hands again and cries, "Oh, this is terrible!" The five remaining Ranger teens teleport to the park and are greeted by several Z-Putties. The immortal fight ballad by Mighty RAW, titled "541" plays in the background, as the traditional fight scene begins. Can't really do it justice in writing, but i'll break down the basics. Kim fights a couple of Putties at once, concluding the shot by kicking one into a chainlink fence. Tommy rips into a gang of Putties near a large electric windmill. Billy does an impossible backflip into the air, and lands just in time to start knocking Putties around. He concludes that by grabbing one and tossing him into the air. Speaking of which, Tommy is towering above a downed Putty, about to punch its Z-plate, when another snatches him from behind, and sends him hurling off into the distance. Tommy doesn't just fly across the field, he literally spins vertically like a human tornado, his feet just inches off the ground, before dropping to the grass harshly. He shakes off the attack, hops back on his feet, and rushes back into battle.

Elsewhere, Rocky takes on a few Putties, mostly tossing kicks around, before concluding his sparring match with the claybrains by throwing a jump kick into one of them. Aisha does a reverse footage backwards leap onto a treestump, before launching herself into the air and kicking two Putties in the upper chest at once. She lands, kicks them down again, knocks another down as well, and stands triumphantly, with a stern glare in her eyes as she searches out whoever else wants some ass whooping. Over near a hill, which appears to be just below a roadway, Tommy kicks a Putty to the ground. Distracted by this, two other Putties grab his arms from behind, and hold the Ranger teen firmly in place. Adam isn't far away, but is quite busy with some of the clay drones, kicking and spinning his body around in a large green field. He finishes things up with a kick to a Z, causing the first and only Putty destruction in the entire episode. Tommy struggles between the grasp of the two Putties, unaware that the Wizard Of Deception has teleported himself to the top of the hill behind him. The Wizard merely laughs as he aims his wand at Tommy, and floods his body with his evil, orange glowing sorcery. Tommy falls onto his back, his feet kicked out from under him by the Putties, who then pin his arms down as he seems to lose consciousness. The Wizard orders the Putties (who are crouched atop him with their hands on their waists, acting quite tough) to, "Bring me a lock of his hair!" The last Putty that was knocked over finally recovers, and pulls the pair of magic scissors from out of his back. He hops over to where Tommy is lying, and proceeds to trim out a small, but rather thick, chunk of his brown hair. They seem to also repair his hair, as anytime we see him later, it looks completely untouched by any unprofessional evil space barbers. The Putty follows the Wizard's orders and brings the lock of Tommy's hair to him, prompting the Wizard to take it into his possession with a rather twisted laugh as a result. The WoD teleports away with his new prize, as do the three Putties, who do a little dance of joy before vanishing from the scene.

Tommy slowly awakens from his first physical defeat in ages, just as his teammates wander over and witness the stunning sight. Kim gasp, "Oh no, look!", as she's the first to notice him. Aisha is also shocked, asking, "What happened to him?!" Adam & Billy are the first to rush to his side, with Adam asking, "Tommy! Are you okay?!" Tommy groggily arises, rubbing the back of his head and saying, "Yeah... I think so." Billy thinks, "I think we'd better contact Zordon." Rocky agrees, "Yeah, and maybe he can tell us who that lizard dude was!" I assume he means the Wizard of Deception, though he looks nothing like a lizard at all! Kim adds, "Yeah, and why he seems to be after Tommy." Tommy shrugs his shoulders, and rubs his bare arms, at a loss for why he was targeted. At the Command Center, Alpha is in front of the Viewing Globe, noting, "The Wizard disappeared as quickly as he appeared!" Zordon informs him, "This is not over yet, Alpha. Unfortunately, all we can do is wait." The good-natured robot sighs, "Ohh. I just HATE waiting!" Had he been doing his usual job of scanning the area, he might be able to find out where the Wizard went to. We see that the Wizard has flame-aported over to a small mound of grass, where he growls evilly and tosses the small knotted lock of Tommy's hair to the ground. He then aims his Ghost Of Darkness wand at it, and charges the hair with bluish magic. Instantly, the hair sprouts off a human body, an exact duplicate of Tommy Oliver! Well, almost exact, as his clothes are quite different from what the real one had on a few minutes ago. He has a green bandanna over his head, his hair tied in a ponytail, and a sleeveless red, white & black flannel shirt on with dark green pants (compared to the real Tommy's loose hanging hair, white & black sleeveless flannel shirt, and black pants). The Tommy clone opens his eyes, and they flash with energy, as he grunts for the first time. The Wizard greets him, "Welcome to your new reality! From now on, you are Tommy, keeper of the Green Ranger's evil powers! You shall follow ALL of my commands." The Tommy Clone arises from the ground and faces his creator, promising, "I am here to serve you, Wizard Of Deception." The evil Wizard replies, "Now, here is what I want you to do....!" Small point, you can see the mouth movements of the actor inside the Wizard suit if you look close enough at the eternal flaming inside the over-skull face.

Still at the same spot in the park, Kim & Aisha stand around gabbing, while Adam & Rocky are crouched down resting, and Tommy remains rubbing his noggin. Billy walks in from offscreen (what, was he off taking a whiz of deception?), and urgently informs his teammates, "Guys, listen. According to Zordon, the Wizard has the ability to create an illusion that then becomes reality." Aisha queries, "Like a nightmare that becomes true?" Billy confirms, "Exactly!" Kim notices Tommy's constant neck and head rubbing, and asks him, "Are you okay?" He groans and says a bit under his voice, "Yeah, I just got a headache." Rocky & Adam finally stand up and walk over next to the rest of the team, with Rocky stating, "Look, about this Wizard. Maybe if we all stay alert, we can beat him." Aisha remarks, "I hope you're right." Adam wonders, "So when's the next move?" Billy mentions, "Well, Zordon said there's nothing we can really do right now. So I say we just go on with our day." Tommy seems eager to find a place to nap, quickly saying, "Alright, but remember. Keep an eye on your Communicators at all times." Both Kim & Billy nod and say, "Okay" to this, and presumably the others do so as well. Tommy walks over to Kim and pats her on the shoulder, stating, "I'm uhh, I think i'm gonna skip out on the mall today." She's fine with it, concertedly replying, "Alright, catch ya later." Tommy explains while massaging the base of his skull, "I think i'm gonna go home and take care of this headache." He starts to stagger off, as Kim shouts, "Aspirin!", and Adam says, "See ya, Tommy.", all waving. As Tommy slowly shuffles his feet through the sparsely wooded area, more goodbyes are exchanged through quickly dubbed in lines, mostly just "bye! hope ya feel better!" things from Kim & Aisha. Tommy's so wrapped up in his woozy mind, that he fails to notice his clone standing in the bushes past where he walks! The Tommy Clone has that trademark Evil Green Ranger smirk on his face, as he places a small blade of grass between his teeth, takes a look over to where the Ranger teens are, and then looks back to watch his original self walking off. The Clone chuckles diabolically, grinning with malicious intent as he stares toward his double's friends.

On the moon, Lord Zedd is quite pleased, stating, "Ahh! This is all going so much better than I expected! Perhaps I HAVE been underestimating Rita. Wizard, what comes next?" He glances down at Earth with his Zedd-vision, and checks out the Wizard Of Deception's head. The demonic figure replies, "To proceed without plan, we must make sure the rest of the Rangers are out of our way." Zedd let's him know, "I warn you, that is easier said than done!" The Wizard gets cocky, "Oh, trust me, Lord Zedd. The Power Rangers are going far. VERY far, indeed!" Lord Zedd cuts off his red-ray transmission and turns from the balcony, exclaiming, "Hahaha! This is unbelievable! The sheer magnitude of evilness, with Rita & I joined together, has made us unstoppable!" Goldar stands there watching him rather quietly, as Baboo & Squatt are behind the wall again, peeping on the situation. They seem quite excited, as Baboo notes, "You know, this marriage must just work out after all!" Squatt agrees, "Yeah!" And I begin to wonder who thought the over-usage of footage concerning Squatt & Baboo as voyeurs was a good idea. Back down at the pondside area of the park, Tommy's Clone approaches the exact bench in front of the bushes where the Wizard is hiding. With several citizens passing by, he waits for the right moment, sits down, and contacts the other Rangers on his Communicator. Apparently, his cloned body came with a Communicator, with green stripes on the sides! Tommy's Clone, speaking in a quite angry voice, says, "Rangers, come in. This is Tommy." Billy answers, "We read you Tommy, what's up?" The Clone removes the piece of lawn from his lips, and plays leader, ordering, "Listen, something's come up. Meet me at the Angel Grove city limits sign on the outskirts of town, right away! See ya there." Billy tells him, "You got it, Tommy", and the Clone reinserts the grass into his mouth, smiles evilly, and heads to the rendezvous point.

Soon at said Angel Grove City Limits sign (with notations, "Pop. 367, 000" and "Elev. 241 Ft"), Tommy's Clone sits under the sign, against a large tree that it rests against. You know, just to make things easier, let's call Tommy Oliver's Clone, Oliver Thomas from now on. Got it? So, he sits there, chewing on his blade of grass, and tossing a small rock into the air and catching it in the same hand, wasting time. He finally hears the other five Power Rangers on their way to him, rushing down the street (which leads to a rather large stadium in the distance), calling out to him in a hurry. They reach his side, and Kim asks, "What's going on?!", with Adam adding, "Yeah, what's up, Tommy?" Oliver (remember, he's the clone), removes the lawn debris from his mouth and stands up, acting serious in pretending to be the real Tommy. He says, "I'm not too sure. Zordon said we should all meet here." Billy is eager to learn why they were summoned to the location, and states, "Alright. Well, let's contact him. See what's happening." Just as he's about to press the button on his Communicator, Oliver shouts, "No! I mean... look. He gave us our orders, right?" Adam buys it, noting, "Tommy's right. Zordon must have a reason." The Wizard Of Deception ends the deception himself, by laughing wickedly, as he stands perched atop the trunk of the large ancient tree before them. He remarks, "You fools are so easily deceived!" Adam shouts out, "Quick, let's Morph!", but before his hand can reach his Morpher, Oliver grabs his arm. The team turns their attention to what they believe is Tommy, all given a double shock by this odd betrayal. Billy asks, "Tommy?! What's going on, man?" Oliver shakes his head and grins evilly, telling them, "You're way too late!" He backs away from Adam and the rest (all apparently too stunned to try Morphing or calling for help). As the Wizard laughs maniacally over this, Kimberly cries, "Huh!? Tommy... NO!" The man with the face of the White Ranger stands before them, smirking devilishly.

Right next to the Angel Grove City Limits sign, the six Power Ranger teens are together, but being torn apart at the same time. No, not because what appears to be Tommy is crossing over out of their jurisdiction by exiting the town! Kimberly walks closer to her boyfriend's clone and asks him worriedly, "Tommy, what's going on?!" He ignores her and continues smiling evilly, as Rocky points out, "He's turning on us, that's what!" Before they can have time to fully react, the Wizard Of Deception, still on the tree limbs above them, yells, "It doesn't matter now!" He waves his Ghost Of Darkness collector's wand (available from the Danbury Mint at a low price!) around, causing the area surrounding the tall tree to begin to warp strangely. Our four heroes stumble around, the weird time travel spell being woven over them like a torrential rain. They stagger to the Angel Grove City Limits sign, clinging to it for support as they appear to be overcome with vertigo. Aisha is the loudest with the grunt and groaning, upstaged only by the Wizard's constant laughter. Billy hugs the sign the closest, with Aisha grabbing his waist, and Kim grabbing hers. Adam has ahold of the base of the sign, with Rocky attached to his arm for support. The reality warping increases, and finally subsides as quickly as it began. The five open their eyes to find that everything is safe and sound in Angel Grove.... 200 years earlier! Zedd got his wish, the Power Rangers are now trapped back in time. The area is quite different than how it looks in 1995, the only remaining landmarks recognizable are the Angel Grove City Limits sign and the tree behind it (which is obviously much smaller at the time. Seems the Wizard needed a proper point of reference to send them back at, hence using that location with the old tree and the historic location of the boundary line marker). The location is quite wide open, with small houses and horse drawn carriages wandering about. The townspeople are all dressed in ye olde style clothing, fitting the period this is set to be. Though, as you may know, in history, there were no towns in California inhabited by settlers from England in the 1700s. It seems that history as we know it, for the PR Universe, is slightly more skewed in some respects. Makes you wonder what other conflicting events with our world there are in this fictional dimension.

Anyway, the townsfolk spot the strange, transported visitors from another time, and instantly panic. Yes, even in the past, the people of Angel Grove are prone to heavy anxiety. Our five heroes are nearly as stunned as they are, taking a look around in total shock, all having forgotten about Tommy's apparent betrayal, and instead focusing on the problem of the moment. A few yards away is Angel Grove Bay, with a massive ship docked on it. It's filled with British Redcoat Soldiers! They overhear the disturbance, and one solider notes, "Captain, there's a disturbance in the township!" The Ranger teens watch as people scream upon seeing them, and flee with fear at their sight. Not everyone is frightened, and one such person is a blonde girl near the horse stables, later named Marissa. Adam is the first to really speak (aside from Aisha's dubbed in "Whoa! What's going on?!", which I omitted due to grounds that the line has been said far too many times this episode), as he asks, "Where are we?!" Billy checks out the panicking populous, and notes, "Well, from the looks of things... I'd say..." Kim interrupts him, whining, "Wait, don't! I don't think I want to know." Billy does so anyway, "Angel Grove. Late 1700s." Aisha takes a clear reading of the city limits sign, which reads, "Angel Grove Township. Population 124." Some smarmy broad screams and points at them, "Witches! See them?! They came from out of nowhere!" They can't find the words to protest her remarks at first. Marissa's two friends run away, leaving the teenager standing by herself in front of the Coach House, looking quite nervous as she stares at the five strangers a mere few feet away. Rocky replies to the smarmy broad, "Witches?! No, wait! You don't understand!" Billy adds, "We're not witches! We're just from a different place & time!" Nobody listens, except Marissa, who appears to flee with the rest of the people anyway. The Redcoats begin to exit their ship, drawn by the pleas of townsfolk crying, "Help us!" Marissa hasn't fled, but has in fact, snuck around the Couch House, peeked into an empty stable, and remarked to herself, "Right." She then continues searching for something, departing for who knows where.

The British Soldiers slowly march down the dirt road. They follow it towards the source of the phenomenon, just as the future shocking vision of the five teenagers from 1995 sends another couple racing away from the area. Kim spots the soldiers and whines, "Oh no!" Aisha notes, "They're NEVER gonna believe us!" Adam agrees, saying, "Yeah, let's jam!" The six quickly start running, prompting one of the soldiers to say, "They're on the run, men. Take chase!", all of them increasing their pace to match our heroes'. The Ranger teens pass by a fort outpost, many wooden fences, and even cause a woman to order her children into the safety of their own home. Our heroic fugitives continue sprinting down the gravel streets, wandering aimlessly through the township. Meanwhile, Marissa sneaks around near the edge of the bay, following their trail, and looking for something. The British Soldiers, four in all, charge forth, pressing onward, with their muskets drawn. They're lead by what appears to be the Captain, a man of good breeding, and a very familiar face that we'll see more of next episode. He leads the other three down the road, and winds up leading them into an empty dead end. Just around the corner, the six Ranger teens hop a fence, and notice as Marissa pops up and shouts, "This way, follow me!", in an oddly Australian accent. The Soldiers think they see them, and race around the horse-stable building. Our heroes follow Marissa into a large barn, and quickly shut down the door quietly behind themselves. They remain pressed up against the massive door structure, as they remain quiet, trying their best to hide out. The Soldiers are overheard talking, "I can't believe it.", "What happened? They vanished!", "No, they've got to be back here somewhere. They can't just disappear off the face of the Earth!", "No, but they can if they're witches!" The Soldiers appear to walk right past the barn door, causing Adam & Marissa to breath a sigh of relief, and take a first glimpse into each other's eyes.

Elsewhen, in the present time Angel Grove, the real deal Tommy Oliver walks through the park. He passes two girls, who are talking gossip to each other ("did you know that they went out?!"). He's rubbing his neck some more, as he wanders over and speaks to the blonde girl, asking, "Hey, Janet. Have you seen the guys." Janet replies, "No. Have you checked Ernie's?" He rubs his head again, and sighs, "Okay, thanks." As he walks off, the two girls undress him with their eyes, both smiling widely and making contended noises and giggles. Bet you any money they wish there was two of him. They continue on their journey, unaware that this unspoken wish has come true! Just a few feet away, Tommy bumps into his clone! Oliver steps out from the bushes, rather nonchalantly in his approach, now with a small twig in his mouth that he's chewing on. Tommy's taken aback when he realizes that he's looking at his doppleganger, pausing in his tracks and facing the stranger with his face. Oliver removes the twig, and speaks in a deep, diabolical voice, "Hello, Tommy. Allow me to introduce myself." Tommy shakes his head and asks, "What's going on?! Who are you?!" Tommy's twin merely replies, "I'm the Green Ranger." He places the twig back between his teeth, and grins despicably.

A quick revise of the last few seconds of last time, sorta of. The Redcoat British Soldiers run around, mothers lock up their children, and the six time displaced Ranger teens hide out in a barn with Marissa. The Redcoat British Soldiers lurking around outside say pretty much the same thing as they did last time, though some of the dialogue is changed! Here's what they say: "Where have they gone to?", "They've disappeared!", "They couldn't have!", "No! I can't find their whereabouts, sir!", "Where are they?!", "This is impossible!", "They've vanished into thin air.", "Over here!", "They certainly ARE witches!", and, "Hurry!" Once the troops have depart the scene, failing to check inside the barn, our heroes breathe a sigh of relief. Especially Adam, who stands up against the wooden door, next to the person they have to thank for the rescue, a teenage female townsperson, named Marissa. He looks at her, and the two smile as they introduce themselves. Adam also introduces his teammates to her, "These are my friends, Billy, Rocky, Kimberly & Aisha." They wave at her, smile, and generally say hi. Marissa smiles back and nods her head. Kim asks the girl, "Why is everyone calling us witches?" Billy, ever the brain, explains, "Because in olden days, anyone who was considered different, or unusual, was accused of being a witch." He pinches his blue K-Mart bought shirt, as an example of unusual items. Marissa replies in confusion, "Olden days?" Aisha looks at Kim, and then tells her, "Uhh, Marissa, we can explain everything. I think." The Ranger teens smirk, at a loss for words to describe their situation. Rocky hands it over to the closest thing they really have to a leader at the moment, "Yeah, right! You try, Billy!" The Blue Ranger is a bit reluctant, as are his teammates, but begins to think in laymen's terms and begins to say to Marissa, "Alrighty. Where should I begin? Have you ever wondered what Angel Grove would be like in the future?"

Elsewhile, 200 years away in Angel Grove Park, Tommy Oliver faces his clone, nicknamed by me to be Oliver Thomas. Taking right up where we left off, Tommy asks his doppleganger, "If you're like me, you can't be evil!" Oliver, speaking in a malicious tone, notes, "Let's face it, we all have our dark sides." Tommy refuses to except that, stating, "My dark side faded with the Green Ranger's powers!" Oliver presses his finger against his twin's chest and exclaims, "I AM the Green Ranger! Only i'm more powerful than you, White Ranger. So, are you gonna fight against yourself?" The generally goody-goody Tommy ponders for a moment, trying to decide whether or not he wants to struggle with his inner demons physically or not. Up on the Evil Moon Palace, Lord Zedd checks out the scene, pumps his fist into the air and shouts, "Ahh, yes! Mission accomplished!" Goldar notices Rita entering the room, and groans, "Ohhh, no! Not her again!" Rita Repulsa approaches her husband on the balcony, and screams at the henchmonster, "Zip it, you gold baboon!" She embraces hands with her husband, calling him "Zeddy!" Lord Zedd offers, "Rita, my lovely wife. Come and observe the two Tommy's stand face-to-face. Perfectly matched with both wit and skill!" She likes what she hears, shrilling with glee, "So tell me more, my evil husband! Ahahaha!" Zedd mentions, "There IS one difference between them. Our Green Ranger does not suffer the burden of having to fight fair!" He, Rita, and even Goldar erupt in diabolical laughter from this revelation. Rita notes, "And you know what THAT means, Zeddy baby! No more Power Rangers! AHhaha!" Lord Zedd remarks, "I feel like celebrating. Shall we dance, my dear?" He takes her by the land and leads her down the steps of the balcony. Rita chuckles slightly, a bit nervously as she seems to not really want to get close to the evil skinbag. But she follows anyway, saying, "Hmm... lovely idea." Tango music begins to play from out of nowhere, and Baboo & Squatt can't help but be amazed. Squatt says, "Wowee! Who would have thought that Lord Zedd was such a twinkletoes!", prompting Baboo to agree, "Uh-huh!" The evil space overlords prance out onto the fog-filled open floor of the throne room. Rita appears to be leading them along in the tango, with Zedd noting, "Really, my dear. I am perfectly capable of leading!" Goldar whines to himself, "Lord Zedd is losing control of EVERYTHING around here!" Squatt considers a career writing for Rollingstone, as he comments, "Even though the music's loud, it's got a good beat. I give it a 74!" Zedd & Rita continue to dance, with Zedd finally leading, causing his witchy wifey to purr with excitement, as he dips her and notes, "Ahh, Rita, my love. You dance so lightly on my feet!"

Still stuck in the 1790s, the five Ranger teens take a rest inside of the barn. Billy finishes explaining things to Marissa, "And basically, that's how we traveled back in time, and ended up here." A British Soldier is overheard saying, "Let's go back around the front. They have to be here somewhere!" Adam walks over to Marissa and tries to comfort her with a warm smile, "Don't worry, Marissa. I know it's hard to understand all this." She returns the smile and (speaking in an Australian accent, of course) tells him, "I can't imagine Angel Grove 200 years from now! What's it like?" Kimberly gets materialistic with her, stating, "It is AWESOME! You have to see the malls, the shops there are SO cool!" Aisha agrees, "Yeah, girl. The makeup department at the Super Store? OH!" Marissa is confused once more, asking, "Super Store?" Kim feels the brunt of the culture clash and promises, "We'll tell you about it later, Marissa.", giving a wink and a click of her tongue. Rocky finally talks, "Yeah, good idea! Cause I think we need to find a way to get out of here." Adam mentions to Billy, "Well, let's try to contact Zordon." The brainy one replies, "Well, I really doubt out Communicator signal's gonna get through, but anything's worth a shot." He lifts his wrist and presses the button in the side of his Communicator, causing a negative sounding beep to chime. Billy speaks into it, "Alpha? Zordon? Alpha, Zordon, can you hear me?!" No reply is heard.

Meanwhen, forward in 1995 Angel Grove, Bulk & Skull are still napping on the ground where the Wizard left them. Skull has his arm around his pal, cuddling up close, as Bulk sucks on his thumb, the two snoring aloud. Two attractive girls notice them, and can't help but giggle. The sound of embarrassment awakens Skull, who quickly pats his pal on the robust stomach and says, "Bulkie, wake up!" That he does, exploding back to consciousness screaming, "Where's the Wizard?!" Skull asks, "What Wizard?", and Bulk mentions, "Come on, don't you remember, man? That lizard faced guy!" Skull can only wonder, "Did you have beans for lunch?" Bulk is annoyed, saying, "No, what did that have to do with anything!?" His best friend points out, "You always have weird dreams whenever you eat beans!", followed by his trademark goofy laugh. They arise from the ground, with Bulk showing signs of a future detective, as he frustratedly notes, "I KNOW there was a Wizard around here!" Skull doesn't seem to care that he doesn't remember half of his afternoon, as he merely continues chuckling and repeating, "Beans, Bulkie! Haha! Beans!" Elsewhere in the park, Tommy & his clone, Oliver, stand facing each other in one of the only split screen shots of this entire mini-series. Oliver continues to rub his fingers against a small twig he's been biting on for a while, as he informs his twin, "So you see, I know all about you. All your secrets and weaknesses. So why don't you make it easier on yourself, and surrender to me?" Not to be outdone or upstaged by himself, Tommy barks back, "If you REALLY knew me, you'd know I'd never do that!" Over at the Command Center, all is quiet, but not silent. Zordon tells his robotic assistant, "Alpha, activate the Viewing Globe. I detect a disturbance in the Morphing Grid." Alpha does so, walking over to the Globe, and upon witnessing the twin Rangers, he exclaims, "Ay-yi-yi-yi-yi! This can't be! There are TWO Tommy's!" On the Globe, we can hear Oliver tell his double, "So that's the way you want it, huh?" Zordon mentions to Alpha, "Now we know what the Wizard Of Deception was up to. He has cloned his own Power Ranger." For the second time in a day, Alpha cries, "Oh no! This is terrible!", as he walks back to the control consoles. Zordon tells him, "Contact the other Rangers, Alpha, and advise them of the situation." Alpha presses some buttons, and notes, "This is very strange, Zordon. The Power Rangers do not appear to be anywhere in Angel Grove!" Zordon urges him, "You MUST keep trying, Alpha." The automaton promises, "Yes, Zordon. I am expanding the search parameters, now!"

Back in the park, we see Oliver tell Tommy again (while taking the small twig out of his mouth once more, what IS his oral fixation, anyway?!), "So that's the way you want it, huh? The Green Ranger versus the White Ranger." As the clone is giving an evil grin, his evil creator, the Wizard Of Deception, sneaks up from behind some tree moss (actually walking for a change). He shouts, "Now!", prompting Tommy to turn and spot the flaming-skulled sorcerer. Tommy reaches around and grabs the back of his belt, yelling, "It's Morphin' Time!" Oliver chews on the twig some more, before chucking it to the ground and reaching around his own belt, while remarking, "I was HOPING you'd say that." With the flash of the lightning bolt symbol, Tommy calls out for "Tigerzord" power, and Morphs into the White Ranger. Oliver, using Tommy's original Morphing shot, calls out for "Dragonzord" power, and becomes the Green Ranger for the very first time. The Wizard Of Deception stands off under the shade of a tree, laughing maniacally, as the Green Ranger (wearing his infamous yet classic "cotton cloth" gold shield) faces the White Ranger. The two Morphed Tommy's stand ready for battle, posing anxiously. The Wizard gloats, "Yes! Morph! That's EXACTLY what I want you to do!" The White Ranger (standing in the distance from the MacArthur Pavilion sign), notes, "Well, one thing's for sure. Two of me can't exist in the same place, at the same time." The Green Ranger motions his arms, replying, "At last we agree on one thing! After I defeat you, i'll be happy to take your place." The Wizard snickers sinisterly, as he comments, "It's SHOW time!"

The battle of the century begins, with White Ranger throwing the first kick! Green ducks, and throws one back, which White also ducks. He then tosses a more swift kick into his opponent, striking Green Ranger on the chest. A flash of white energy crackles up where the blow was struck. Tommy then tosses a punch, a little too high, as Oliver dodges it, chops at his arm twice in return (white & green sparks collide), and lifts his knee into the air to strike back. White Ranger blocks the knee (white sparks), and kicks his leg up into Green Ranger again, hitting his chest and causing more white sparks, with some green mixed in. Tommy then attempts a foot sweep maneuver, which Oliver anticipates, and leaps into the air to avoid successfully. White Ranger stands back up and tosses another punch, which Green Ranger counterpunches, the two fists slamming into each other with white & green sparks. Oliver snatches up Tommy's wrist, and then does the same to his other arm when a second punch is thrown. With sparking green & white energy coursing through the connected arms, White Ranger lands a kick into his rival's chest again, and knocks himself out of the arm hold. Both Rangers land on their backs, but quickly leap back onto their feet to continue the battle anew. This time, Green throws a spinning kicking, White ducks and throws one back. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. They seem to realize it's going nowhere, so they both take a pause, facing each other silently. Oliver appears to gesture as if he's wiping his masked lip off with his thumb, before charging forth and resuming action. Green throws a punch, White Ranger blocks it, and sparks fly. Let's just quit noting the colored sparking, as they're are lots of them. One thing of note, though, is that white powder bursts out of Green Ranger's glove in this shot. He tries another hit, but Tommy cuts it off with his elbow. The next Oliver-thrown blow is missed by ducking, and the one after that blocked by Tommy's forearm. White Ranger finally throws one, but Green blocks it. He then throws one in return, which White blocks. You see what they're getting at here? It's like shadow boxing. Their moves are totally mirrored to the point that neither can really do much harm to each other without radically deviating from their standard routine. There's lots and lots more punching, with the tide turning to the point that Tommy throws more blocked punches in a row. If you ever wanted to hear Tommy's karate-grunting in stereo, this whole scene is a showcase for it.

Eventually, White Ranger tries that footsweep maneuver again. Green Ranger hops up into the air, and avoids it completely, though this time lands right next to his master, the Wizard Of Deception. The Wizard's had a ringside seat to the entire fight, and has spent most of it laughing his evil head off. When Oliver rises to pose next to him, the Wizard remarks to the real deal, "White Ranger, your tenacity surprises me!" Tommy takes the snide comment in stride, noting "Ahh. Your FIRST mistake. Never underestimate the power of the human spirit!" Speaking of human spirit, back in the 1790s, outside of the George Cook Coach House, a British Soldier and his Captain tiptoe around the building. They whisper while sneaking around, the Soldier soon peeking his head into the stable, and leading on as he and the Captain begin to realize the missing "witches" are within their grasp. Rocky's voice can barely be heard coming from within the Coach House barn, as he says. "If we can't reach Zordon, does that mean we'll be trapped here forever?" Kim's voice also carries, "Well, Tommy's still back there. He'll come for us." Billy's also a bigmouth, saying, "Assuming he knows where to look. I mean, remember, we ARE 200 years in the past, right?" Kim realizes, "Oh yeah. Billy, you'd better keep trying!" The Redcoat Soldier and his equally crimson clothed Captain follow the sound of the voices, and enter the barn stable coach house place slowly. Billy tries again, squeezing the knob on his wristband and exclaiming, "Zordon! Alpha! Can you hear me?!" over and over, and remarking worriedly to his friends, "Guys, I still can't get through!" Kim & Aisha look at each other, both frightened. Kimberly says, "We've got to do something!", and Rocky suggests, "Well, let's just Morph!" Behind Adam & Marissa is a screened section that cuts off the barn area from the rest of the stable. The Captain and the British Soldier pop up suddenly, and shout, "AH-HA!" Our heroes all turn their attention to this man, with Kim being the first to recognize him. She asks, "Skull?!", and the Captain merely replies in confusion, "What?" He indeed is a dead ringer for Eugene Skullovitch, and is perhaps an ancestor. The Captain spots the only one of the fugitives he knows, and says, "Marissa. You will be punished for helping these... witches!" She pleads, "They're not witches!", and Adam, trying to defend her honor, shouts, "Leave her alone!" Trapped in time, low on gas (oops, that's "Army Of Darkness"' tagline), and caught by Redcoats, Kim wonders to Aisha, "What are we going to do?"

Once upon a time, 200 years later, the White Ranger leaps into the air, as he takes his battle with himself out to a wider open field. Green Ranger does the same, jumping up, with what appear to be rather stormy rainclouds in the distance. They land facing each other, both Tommy & his Clone prepare to continue fighting. When they snap their arms out, readying their next blows, more white powder puffs off of them. What, did Ms. Appleby spot them and make them clean the erasers after school or something? Anyway, White Ranger throws the first kick, which Green Ranger ducks out of the way of. Tommy tosses another kick, it's blocked, etc. There are lots of swift, and very rapid punches tossed back and forth. No true blows get struck, no real damage accumulated upon either of the Rangers. They're so evenly matched, it's not even funny. Eventually, Tommy does manage to land his fist into his clone Golden Shield chest, but it ends up shocking him in such a way, that both of them are knocked backwards. They both crouch on the ground across from each other, clutching their breastcages. Tommy shouts, "Give it up, Green Ranger. Your brand of evil will NEVER win!" Oliver angrily replies, "Never! YOU'RE the one who should be giving up!" White Ranger says something in return, which is remarkably vengeful, "I'll destroy you if that's the last thing I EVER do!" The Wizard Of Deception has grown tired of the battle (what, is he trying to describe it into a summary like I am?), and growls, "All right. Enough of this child's play. Let's have some REAL action!" He aims his Ghost Of Darkness wand at Tommy, and fires off a yellow stream of energy. The White Ranger stands up, and is taken by surprise, as the beam hits his chest and wraps around his body, ensnaring his arms as well. The Wizard laughs wickedly, as Tommy begins to collapse, falling to the ground in a heap. The yellow energy, with bits of whiteness swirling about to imply a power drain, dissipates, as the White Ranger lies on his stomach, sprawled across the lawn. He struggles to maintain consciousness, as yellow, white, and even bluish surges of power course throughout his body. The Wizard walks over, steps on his back, and aims the wand down once more, firing another yellow pulse, and causing the White Ranger to forcibly demorph! The evil sorcerer laughs some more, noting, "I don't think THIS White Ranger will interfere with our plans any further." Green Ranger stands in front of him, as the Wizard orders, "You need to use the Dragon Dagger. We need Dragonzord power to begin the destruction of the city. But first, pay a visit to my old friend Zordon. Make sure he knows it is I who is behind the destruction of his precious Power Rangers." WoD holds out his hand, and with a flash of white light from his sleeve, causes a duplicate golden Dragon Power Coin to appear in his palm! It seems that while Oliver has every item of the Green Ranger at his disposal due to his being an exact copy of Tommy (he's made up of Tommy's residual Green Ranger energy, after all), he lacked a true coin. The clone takes the coin, and obeys, "As you wish, Master." He departs to do as commanded, and the Wizard whips his head around, boasting, "My revenge is sweet! Ahahaha!" He too vanishes, via his flame-aportation, leaving the real Tommy still groveling on the ground. He struggles to get up, but he can't even open his eyes, his body wracked with pain from the power drain.

Whenwhile, elsemean, in the 1790s, everything is like we left it. The five Ranger teens and Marissa, confronted by the British Soldier and the Redcoat Captain who looks just like Skull. Adam turns to his teammates, and says, "Billy, we can't Morph now!" Kim agrees on the subject of not giving the Soldiers any more fuel to the witchhunting fire, noting, "Of course not. Marissa shouldn't be punished for trying to help us." Marissa puts her hands to her face and appears to start crying, but Adam comforts her, taking her hands in his and assuring her with a nod that everything will be alright. Billy concurs with Kimberly, saying, "Let me take care of this. Rocky, you just play along." He steps over to the fenced window of the stable and speaks to the Redcoats, "Um, excuse me, gentlemen. If I could just have a minute of your time, I think I could explain everything." That's our cue to skip ahead 200 years, to when Billy finally finishes explaining everything! At the Command Center in the present day, Alpha cries, "Ay-yi-yi! Zordon, I can't locate the Rangers anywhere!" Zordon gives his automaton assistant some encouragement, "You MUST keep trying, Alpha. Tommy cannot face this threat alone." Alpha replies, "Right, Zordon! I'll do my best." As he's busy pressing the same few buttons over and over, he's unaware that someone has started to play stock footage from "Green With Evil" behind him! The Evil Green Ranger teleports into the Command Center, with a flash of greenish fire. Yes, this entire scene heavily reuses shots from GWE. Oliver, the Tommy clone, looks around and remarks, "Whoa, hehe. This is a cool setup!" He's either talking about the CC, of which the memories of he didn't retain from his twin, or the entire situation with him popping in unexpectedly. He sneaks up behind Alpha, who whines, "Oh dear!", then turns and quickly glances at the Green Ranger and says, "Oh. Hi, Tommy!", before realizing what's going on and screaming in fear. Zordon informs his robotic pal, "Alpha, that is not our Tommy. That's the Wizard's Green Ranger creation!" Oliver confirms, "That's right, you old windbag! And i'm here to deliver a message." Trying to trick him into showing his hand, Zordon asks, "First, tell me what the Wizard Of Deception has done with Tommy and the other Rangers." Oliver aims his gloved finger at the giant head in a tube and shouts, "Keep your forcefield on, old man! Whatever i'm gonna tell you, i'll tell you when i'm good and ready. Understand?!"

Meanwhile, up on the Evil Moon Palace, the party just don't stop. Baboo & Squatt hop up and down behind the wall, peeking into the throne room still. Baboo exclaims, "Ooo! They look so UGLY together!" Inside the throne room, Goldar doesn't share the sentiment, slapping his hand to his golden armor forehead and groaning, "Oh! Too much to bear! Nooo! No!" The sight that's causing him to cringe is Lord Zedd & Rita Repulsa continuing to dance around the room to a tango beat. They both laughs amusedly, as they prance around the misty-covered floor, locked in the proper position. Zedd proclaims, "Isn't like wonderful, my dear?" She agrees, "It IS, my love!" He dips her in his arms, and she grumbles under her breath an addition to her words, "It'll get even better when I take control!" He raises her up, and she places the stem of a wilted rose into her mouth. Zedd takes it out and asks, "What did you say, my queen?" Rita plays it off, stammering, "Uhh, I said, you're such a hero, you make me lose control!" He spins her around, and leads her across the room, stating, "Of course I do! And as soon as we get rid of the White Ranger, I believe it's time to think about a new addition to our family." He dips Rita again, prompting her eyes to bulge out when she hears this remark. He raises her up and she yells, "Addition?! What kind of addition?!" Lord Zedd explains, "Why, a baby!" Rita screams aloud in shock, "What?!" He's quite serious about the idea, commenting, "You know, our own little bundle of evil. One that would have YOUR incredible looks, and MY brains!" He gestures while mentioning this, taking her by the hand, and then pointing his fingers to his exposed brain. Rita nearly cries, though not from happiness, as she says, "Uhh, excuse me, a moment, i'll be right back. AHHHH!" She races out of the room, prompting Zedd to stand confused, saying, "Rita? That wasn't quite the reaction I was expecting!" Soon in Finster's Workshop, the gentle natured monster maker is on the floor. He's inspecting the pieces of something he apparently dropped and broke, using his eye monocle, while humming to himself. Rita rushes in and shouts his name, and he arises, remarking, "Oh, my queen! How nice to see you!" She yells, "Nevermind that! That potion you made me is going too far! Make me a new potion quick!" She's referencing the potion used to make Lord Zedd fall in love with her in "The Wedding, Part 1", of course. Finster obeys, asking, "What kind, my queen?" Rita explains, "A kind that will make Lord Zedd forget his stupid idea! He wants me to have a BABY! Ugh!" Finster is delighted by this idea of Zedd's, noting, "Oh, but that sounds ever-so charming, my queen!" She feels differently, barking, "Charming, my foot! I'm not having a baby! Now make a new potion and be quick about it!" She storms off, leaving Finster a bit nervous, as he thinks to himself, "A new potion?! Oh dear. Exactly what did I put in the last one?" He begins to fumble around his chemistry equipment, mixing glitter with some other liquids in a hurry.

Someone left the oven on 200 years ago! Oh wait, it's just Billy. Inside the George Cook Coach House where you can find "carriages repaired", according to the sign, Billy's apparent explanation to the Redcoats has gone on offscreen. Now, Rocky points out, "You see, we too are citizens of Angel Grove." Billy, who looks quite nervous, says, "Good point!", before turning to the Soldiers and stating, "Here's the situation..." The Skull-lookalike Captain silences the 'witches', shouting, "Hold your tongue! You're all under arrest!" The Ranger teens are stunned, Marissa as well. Kimberly comments, "Billy, somehow I don't think that they bought your story." Time for plan B, with Rocky asking his teammates, "Ready, guys?" Aisha replies, "Yes. Go." Quickly, all six of the teenagers race out of the barn. The British Captain can only call out, "Halt! Halt, you doggy bones! I hate it! I hate them!", as they escape. His fellow Soldier doesn't so much better, banging the butt of his musket against the fenced window. The fugitives flee from the Coach House, with Marissa & Adam holding hands. Sheesh, they just met, for cripes sake! The three Redcoats follow their Captain's lead, marching down the side road, until they reach a barrier. A small wooden stick for a gate, which brings them to a grinding halt, before the Captain orders them to back up and jump over it, continuing on their way, the Captain pointing his sword outward and screaming, "Get them!" Our heroes charge through a boathouse, and end up bumping into a flock of sheep. They manage to avoid collision with the woolly animals (Rocky enjoys the feel of one under his groin area, since he's shown actually straddling one for a brief moment!), and return to fleeing. The British Soldiers follow much along the same path, stopping when the sheep block their way, though it's barely much of a distraction. Ironic, the shots of the sheep. Less than a few years after this was filmed, a sheep was successfully cloned!

Anyway, Marissa has finally broken loose of Adam's grasp, and leads the Ranger teens on a path out of the township of Angel Grove. They charge towards the woods, with Marissa yelling, "This way! They're gaining on us!" Billy asks, "Where are we running to?!", and she tells him, "My uncle! He'll help us!" After they pass through that area, the Redcoats are right behind. At a fork in the road, the Captain successfully guides his three troops into the proper direction of the "witches", proving he's not quite as inept as his future descendant. Up the dirt road in the woods, a horse drawn stagecoach treks along. The Ranger teens race up behind it, and pile in, one by one, with Marissa in tow. She calls out to a man sitting next to the driver, saying, "Ben, we need your help!" Boy, a good thing her uncle was just passing by! Kim tells the man, "Thanks a lot!" The man, dressed in a white shirt, three rimmed hat, glasses and generally dressed like Ben Franklin, comments, "You're all right now, lads & lassies!" Once again, Kim gets a deja vu, as she tells her teammates, "Uhh, can you guys please take a look at Uncle Ben?" They do, and their jaws drop, as they realize Marissa's uncle is a dead ringer for Farkas "Bulk" Bulkmeier! Our heroes can't help but exclaim bewilderedly, "Bulk?!", in unison. Marissa seems confused by their comment, as does her uncle, as he replies, "No, Ben's the name!" He urges them to relax, saying, "We'll be back to my homestead in a short while. Just sit back and catch your breath!" The wagon presses onward, as do the British Soldiers not far behind them. The Captain leads his men in the wrong direction for once, shouting, "The woods, gentlemen!" He and two of his Redcoat troops charge into the forest, as another dubs in, "I don't think they're over there, sir!"

In another time, at the Command Center, the Evil Green Ranger continues confronting Zordon. Tommy's clone tells him, "Take a look, old timer. I AM the Green Ranger now, and there's nothing you can do about it." Zordon tries his luck again at treachery, saying, "Don't be so sure of yourself. I DEMAND to know what you've done with the Power Rangers!" Oliver buys it, remarking ominously, "Let's just say, wherever they are, history is repeating itself." Zordon talks big, telling the Green Ranger, "I warn you. If any harm is come to them, I'll..." The clone chuckles, "What, gonna send that stupid robot after me? Get real!" He then presses his belt buckle Morpher, and teleports away in his greenish fire mode again. The shot is so painfully lifted from GWE, that you can plainly see in the background that the consoles have been torn up and the wiring is everywhere! They're all fixed by the next shot, as Zordon states, "Quick! Alpha! Did you hear what he said?" Alpha walks in from out of the Christmas tree-light filled darkness, and confirms, "Affirmative, Zordon! He said that the Rangers are in a place where history is repeating itself." The automaton is perfectly unharmed, likely just snuck off to hide from any danger, but is back with a vengeance, quickly pressing buttons on the console. Zordon mentions, "The Wizard must have sent them back in time." Alpha presses more buttons and says, "Activating Time Processor now, Zordon! But unless we can pinpoint the time period they went back to, it could take a VERY long time to find them!" The Eltarian sage laments, "Without more information, we have no choice. Start with the present day, and work your way backward, scanning for their genetic markers." Alpha's worried as usual, "What if we can't find them, Zordon?!" He tells his robotic assistant, "Have faith, Alpha. We WILL. We know the White Ranger is still in the present time. We must locate him. Only HE can stop the Wizard's Green Ranger." Alpha ay-yi-yi's, "What a day this has turned out to be!" Speaking of the Wizard Of Deception, he's still at his favorite hangout, the pondside area of the park. He and Tommy's Clone stare into the water, as the Wizard mentions, "Ahh, you have done well, Green Ranger. It is now time to begin the destruction! I shall go back in time, to keep the other Rangers... occupied. Hahaha!" He then flame-aports out of sight, apparently on his way to join the timelost teens 200 years ago. The Evil Green Ranger laughs at this devilish display, and once alone, he grips his fist, and proclaims, "Dragonzord! The time has come to awaken, and serve your new master!"

In the 1790s, at Uncle Ben's Farm For Converted Brand Rice. The five time displaced Ranger teens do what they've done most these past two episodes, and that's stand around taking a break from all the stress that comes with being attacked by evil space aliens. Well, all stand but Aisha, who sits on the grass, next to Rocky's legs. Billy wanders over and takes a look at the large brick structure, either a massive oven, or an outhouse. He returns to his teammates, and says, "Well, it looks like we finally lost those soldiers." Marissa, standing between Adam & Uncle Ben, leans against a post with her hands behind her back, and if you look at it the right way, it looks like she's about to be burned at the stake! Adam thanks her for the help, she smiles and nods, and even Ben takes a bow. A few feet away, Aisha starts rubbing his side, complaining, "Rocky, your FOOT is tickling my back!" Rocky looks down, and slowly backs away, remarking, "Uhh, that's not my foot!" Aisha turns and takes a look at the tickling source, finding that her shapely ass was being massaged by a trio of vermin! She hops up and runs screaming, "Rats!", prompting both Uncle Ben & Marissa (who likely have to EAT those rodents for supper some nights) to erupt with laughter. Nobody else finds this amusing, especially Aisha, who wipes her clothes off, saying, "Don't laugh! I HATE rats!" Kim & Billy both give disgusted faces, with Kim remarking, "Ew!" Ben & Marissa's good-natured snickering ends, when the Wizard Of Deception's voice calls out, "Well, that's good to know! You will especially enjoy what I have planned for you next! Ahahaha!" The Wizard is standing atop part of the brick kiln/crap house, with his Ghost Of Darkness wand in hand, aimed to the air. Our heroes are a bit surprised to see him, but quickly get over their shock and prepare to face him. Uncle Ben steps in front of Marissa, acting like he's going to defend her. He pulls back his sleeves and puts up his dukes, though looks quite frightened by the appearance of a true witch. Rocky shouts, "Man, not YOU again!" The Wizard responds, "Yes, I just thought i'd bring a bit of news from home. The city's about to be destroyed. Too bad you're not there to see it." Adam boasts, "You'll never get away with this!" The evil sorcerer replies, "But I already have! Now, did someone say something about... rats?!" The Wizard aims his wand at the three booty-blind mice, and fires a blast of bluish energy.

Instantly, all three of the verminous rodents grow into bipedal, humanoid form! They're not just any Rat Monsters, but in fact three of the suits that were made for MMPR:TM. The story behind them, is that they were to appear as more or less Ivan Ooze's makeshift footsoldiers in one scene. The footage was shot, I think, but they realized the rat creatures' suits looked horrible, and canned them in favor of the purple Ooze clones. Anyhow, the five Ranger teens spot the ugly rat monsters, and are incredibly creeped out. Uncle Ben screams louder in terror than even Marissa upon seeing them. Billy realizes only one course of action, and tells his pals, "Guys? I think it's time!" They all nod, Adam replies, "You got it!", and they reach around their backs, and look directly into the camera. Rocky shouts, "It's Morphin' Time!", and nothing happens. They take a look down, and realize their bodies have remained normal! Kim cries, "It's not working!", and Aisha takes a look at the rodent infestation, whining, "I HATE rats!" Say, you think she hates rats? I'm curious to find out, maybe she'll tell us again for a third time. The Rat Monsters squeak, growl, and rub their badly designed fur hands together, looking around with their horribly built heads. Billy dubs in a line, "Oh, that's right. We've been transported back 200 years BEFORE we met Zordon. We have no powers here." What he means to say, is that their connection to the Morphing Grid is null and void at this time period. Zordon & Alpha were still in a state of suspended animation until just a hundred or so years before Rita's return, all systems shut down. Perhaps their failed attempted activation of the Grid caused their mentors to awaken in the first place? Who knows. They turn their attention back to the monstrous mice, with Adam remarking, "We can try to take them!" Billy vetoes this, saying, "No! It's too risky! We don't know what they're capable of." Judging by the amount of slobber on those rats, I suspect the Power Rangers may be to blame for the famous Bubonic Plague outbreaks. Kim rushes over to the terrified Ben & Marissa, urging them to run. That they do, joining the rest of the Ranger teens as they flee the farm. The Wizard Of Deception laughs, saying, "Did you really think you could get away?!" He fires his wand at a small shack located near Ben's farm, causing it to explode under the bombardment of multicolored magic. They shield their eyes from the flying debris & smoke, and simply run around the burning log cabin. The Wizard bids goodbye to the Rat Monsters, "I will leave you now, to have some fun. Do with them what you wish! Ahaha!" He apparently returns to the present time offscreen. The Rat Monsters, meanwhile, growl diabolically, and though they lack verbal skills, they understand his orders, and skitter off to wreak havoc.

Finally, back in the present time, the Green Ranger, using stock Zyuranger footage (hence the nice & tight foam rubber gold shield), proclaims to the city, "Angel Grove! Prepare for your destruction!" He whips out his Dragon Dagger (whether or not it's the original is questionable, though I do like to think the clone is essentially the essence of the Green Ranger powers, and thus, has everything but the coin in his possession), and plays that classic tune. Toot! Toot-toot! Too-too-toot! You know how it goes. He standing on the dock of Angel Grove Bay, in his usual upper construction side position, facing the water. The summoning sound of the Dragonzord echoes throughout the area for the first time since "Green No More". Several Japanese workers on the loading docks across from him, work unsuspectingly. The fanfare from the Dagger calls out once again, and the Dragonzord comes to life anew. Its red eyes appear under the bubbling of the water, as movement towards land begins. The workers drive their forklifts around, and haul crates, likely thankful that nobody's trashed that area in a while. Green Ranger plays the tune another few times, and the Dragonzord's water bubbling increases. It eventually splashes up so high, that it strikes some workers, dousing them, and alerting them to the disturbance occurring nearby. More bubbling, more workers getting soaked, and more of Tommy's Clone playing the Dragon Dagger's flute mode. Up in the Moon Palace, Lord Zedd triumphantly rests on his mighty throne. He gloats, "At long last, the Power Rangers are history! Ahahh hahaha! Hahahaha!" His evil laughter continues on and on, as does this trilogy.

An aerial stock shot of Angel Grove Park welcomes us to the conclusion of this epic mini-series. Tommy Oliver remains wearily struggling to regain full consciousness, as he lies on his stomach, grunting and groaning. Meanwhile, up on the Evil Moon Palace, the neurotic newlyweds, Rita Repulsa & Lord Zedd, are laughing maniacally. Rita sits in Zedd's lap, as he sits on his throne, his hand in hers. She exclaims, "Oh yes! Bliss is a world without the Power Rangers!" They cease embracing, and rise from the iron cast chair, Zedd promising, "Ahh, soon, my little snookums. Soon." He begins to walk over to the balcony, with his wife following, saying warmly, "Zeddie, baby. Why don't you go and check up on that wizard. See what he's up to next. I LOVE that wizard!" He pauses and picks up her magic wand, handing it to her and taking his Z-Staff, which is placed next to it near the throne. Zedd remarks, "Yes! That WAS one of my best ideas, if I do say so myself! Haha!" He rushes up to take a closer view at the planet Earth, as Rita follows behind, shouting in anger, "Well, DON'T say so yourself! That was MY idea!" Zedd tries to play things lovingly, "You aren't contradicting me? Are you, my love?" Rita, who is both in the right and not exactly (Zedd's idea was to send the Rangers out of time, Rita's was the second Tommy plan, so they're BOTH right), replies loudly, "YEAH!" Zedd turns to his right hand monster, asking, "Goldar, whose idea was it?!" Goldar, his loyalty only to Zedd since "The Mutiny", quickly answers, "Uhh, YOURS, my lord!" Zedd gets childish, telling Rita, "THERE! That proves it!" She responds equally immature, saying "Not!", and then turning over to Goldar and calling him a, "Spineless gold goober!" They both sigh with growls, ending the discussion when Zedd looks to Earth with his red vision ray, stating, "What difference does it make as long as it's working!" Rita's evil sneer turns to a wicked grin, as Zedd calls out, "Wizard! What is our status?" Now back in Angel Grove in the present time, the Wizard Of Deception informs his boss of the day, "All is well, Lord Zedd. The Green Ranger's about to start the destruction of Angel Grove!" Zedd breaks off the Z-Vision transmission, throws his arms into the air, and exclaims, "Ahh! Hahahaha! Excellent! First, Angel Grove. And then, the world!" He erupts with diabolical laughter, as does Rita, as they embrace once again, excited about the prospect of succeeding for a change.

Atop a large metal construction loading girder thing that I don't quite know what it's called except it's orange, the Evil Green Ranger has apparently taken a break from Dragonzord calling. He whips his arms around again, and begins blowing into the Dragon Dagger once more. With that classic chime (see the last spoiler for how it goes exactly), the mighty green Dragonzord starts to arise from the bottom of the harbor. His bubbily arrival causes waves to splash up onto the docks, dousing workers. The Dragonzord's head finally peeks up from out of the water, coming up for air for the first time in as many months. To offset the overuse of the Japanese loading dock workers, two Caucasians are shown ordering the other men to clear the area, by use of a bullhorn. The splashing gets worse, knocking loose metal frames down atop the fleeing men. The Dragonzord has its entire upper body out of the water now, and starts thrashing its stunted arms around, while letting out a ferocious roar. The two white guys beat feet, rushing off and joining the Asian deserters as well, likely planning to fail to claim this time off on their time cards later. The Green Ranger removes the Dagger flute from his morphed masked lips, and shouts the same thing he did last time, "Angel Grove, prepare for your destruction!" Tommy's clone then resumes playing the fanfare, continuing to summon the Dragonzord. Poor guy's been napping for so long, it's gonna take a cup of coffee the size of the Command Center to get him moving.

Meanwhile, 200 years ago, the British Redcoat Soldiers that were hunting the five time displaced Power Rangers earlier, are now on lunch break in the colonial Angel Grove Township. The four of them stand next to a man, who is in his underpants and has his head and arms locked in a vice. One of those torture chamber style things, you know, gallows. Anyway, the Soldiers, including the Skull-ancestor Captain, are beholding the power of cheese! Eating big hunks of cheddar, among other flavors. The prisoner guy talks like he's one of those Jewish comedians, saying, "Every day it's the same stinking cheese! Oy vey!" (well, not that last part). One of the soldiers actually speaks in a non-dubbed voice, yelling at the shackled man, "You be quiet!" He turns back towards the Captain, who begins to give orders, "The witches are still in out midst. We'll split up into two groups. Group one, (motions to himself and another soldier) will take the North side of town. Team two will..." He gets cut off when he spots a line of panicking townsfolk racing down the street nearby. One of the two soldiers asks, "Permission to speak, sah! Whut would ya like team two to do, suh?" The Captain's staring at the crowd leads to him witnessing the source of the disturbance, two of the Teenage Mutant Ninny Rodents! The magically enhanced Rat Monsters cease chasing and terrorizing the townsfolk, once they get a whiff of the cheese the soldiers are eating. The Captain stammers, blinking his eyes stunned and replies to soldiers calmly, "Run." They're confused, until they turn to see the stupid, stupid Rat Monsters rushing their way. The Captain cries, "Runnnnn! Ruuuuun!", and that they do, fleeing around the back of the building. The Rats chase the former witch hunters, passing by the prisoner who, still locked in the gallows, shouts, "Give 'em the cheese! C'mon, just give 'em the cheese!" The Soldiers fail to hear him, and also fail to drop the pasteurized dairy products. The Redcoats (of which there appear to only be four, including the Captain. I wonder where all the others are?) soon join the crowd of escaping citizens, running for their lives from the horrible looking Rat Creatures.

Momentarily, 200 years in the future, below a pole containing the American Flag, the modern day Bulk & Skull head down a stairway outside a massive complex. Skull slides along the handrails, landing at the bottom successfully, and barely misses hitting two young girls. The bumbling duo has apparently gotten over their encounter with the Wizard Of Deception, and causally walk along, until they spot Tommy staggering towards them. He's finally managed to find the will to get off his sorry butt and attempt to track down his teammates. Bulk & Skull stop before him, one of them whistling as they notice he appears to be quite drained of his normally extruding energy. Tommy, his vision very blurry, asks the moronic misfits, "Have you guys seen the guys?" Bulk replies, "No, have YOU?" He turns to Skull, who laughs with his trademark giggle, the two getting a chuckle at Tommy's expense. As wiped out of patience as he is power, Tommy sternly states, "I mean it, Bulk. Have you seen them?" Bulk responds with an attitude, "No! I do not KNOW where those geeks are!" Skull notes, "And might I add, we don't CARE!" Bulk agrees, and they return to walking down the steps, as Tommy stumbles his way up them. Skull comments to his pal, "Boy, did HE look off!", while banging his finger against the top of his head. Bulk concurs, "I'm tellin' ya, man, it's the martial arts!" The bumbling duo depart, making this eight episodes in a row that they didn't spend trying to find the Rangers' true identities! Tommy goes up towards the larger flight of stairs (just WHERE is he heading, anyway?!), rubbing the back of his head again. Elsewhere, at the Command Center, Alpha 5 glances uncomfortably close to the Viewing Globe. Zordon asks him, "Are you having any luck, Alpha?" The wily automaton exclaims, "Yes! I've found Tommy, Zordon!" The Eltarian sage adds, "What about the rest of the Rangers?" Alpha shuffles back over closer to Zordon's tube, and mentions, "No, no sign of them yet." Suddenly, the sirens sound and the alarms flash. Alpha presses some buttons and shouts, "Ay-yi-yi-yi! What's going on, Zordon?!" The big blue head explains, "It's what I feared most, Alpha. The Green Ranger is attempting to call upon the sleeping Dragonzord." The robot cries, "Oh, no!", as he continues pressing buttons. Zordon says, "If he's successful, there could be a disaster. Alert Tommy immediately!"

Tommy, intensely groggy from the battles and magical draining he's been through in the past few hours, takes a rest next to a flowerbed. Behind that, is a huge statue of a lion's head. After as lengthy a breather as he's going to get, Tommy hears the familiar chime from his Communicator. It takes him a minute to answer it, first opening his eyes, and then taking a look around to be sure nobody is listening. He presses it and asks, "Zordon, come in." Good thing Alpha wasn't the one calling, since Zordon answers, "Tommy, we have an emergency and can't locate the other Rangers. The Green Ranger is calling on the Dragonzord. Once in control, he will use its powers for evil." Tommy, seemingly given a second or third wind by the mentioning of his dark double, proclaims, "I'll do my best to stop him, Zordon." The Mighty Morphin Mentor wishes him luck, "Be very careful, White Ranger. And may the power protect you." The transmission between them ends, and Zordon quickly tells his assistant, "Alpha, i'm very concerned about Tommy. Maintain continuous visual contact." Alpha okays this plan, pressing some buttons and saying, "Establishing visual contact now!", as he walks back over to the Viewing Globe. Zordon explains, "When the Wizard created the Green Ranger, it drained Tommy of some of his energy. All of his senses could be effected." Alpha ay-yi-yi's, "You were right, Zordon! Look!" The Viewing Globe shows Tommy attempting to climb that tall flight of stairs from earlier, and tripping when he reaches the seventh step. He slams hard against the stone slab stairs, rolling down them harshly and plopping down onto the cement. Tommy recovers slowly, wondering, "Man, what's wrong with me!?", as he uses the handrails to drag himself up. Alpha asks his Eltarian companion, "What are we going to do, Zordon?!" Big Z says, "Once Tommy morphs into the White Ranger, he will be reenergized. But only for a short time. We MUST find the other Rangers, Alpha." Alpha agrees, "Right, Zordon. I just wish I knew where to look!"

Heard enough of the Dragonzord Call, yet? Green Ranger plays it some more on his Dragon Dagger, and the Dragonzord roughly whips his arms around, almost dancing to the tune. What's taking him so long to make landfall seems to be explained in this scene, that, being sentient, he's fully aware that he's being called in to do evil. Thus, he's dragging his dragon feet! The Wizard Of Deception stands on the docks, and proclaims, "Energize yourself with evil, Dragonzord. Energize yourself with EVIL! Ahaha!" He fires his Ghost Of Darkness wand into the sky, firing a beam of power into the Dragonzord. The mighty metal beast can do nothing but growl helplessly, as he's overcome with a spell. The Dragonzord's eyes get all goofy, flashing from pure bright red, to red with dots for pupils! He looks downright weird, I half expect the dots to be closer to make him look cross-eyed. The Green Ranger gestures his gloved hands, stating, "Dragonzord! We are now united by the forces of evil!" The Dragonzord's dotted eyes flash again, and he whips his massive tail around, smashing through various abandoned sections of the dock. The explode, before his tail drops back into the sea, causing another tidalwave to splash up and flood the buildings. The Dragonzord presses onward, step by step, slowly, taking forever just to reach dry land! In the Command Center, Zordon speaks to the last remaining Power Ranger through his Communicator, saying, "Tommy, even though you feel weak, if you can manage to Morph, you will be reenergized for a brief time." In the city, Tommy, facing to the side instead of into the camera as normal, shouts, "It's Morphin' Time!". With a surge of Tigerzord power, the White Ranger is reborn instantly. He takes a look at his body like it was the first time he'd seen it, waving Saba around in the air and exciting shouting, "You're right! It worked, Zordon! Now to put an end to this Green Ranger, once and for all!" He swiftly resheaths his enchanted Saber named Saba, why he had him out in the first place is anyone's guess.

The green Dragonzord marches viciously onto the docks of Angel Grove harbor. It steps foot onto the dry land, and crushes a packing trailer beneath its sole, causing a small burst. There goes the drug business! As he stomps around the docks, more fires kick up around him, flames pocketing the warehouses in the area. Green Ranger shouts, "Destroy it, ALL!", and that the Dragonzord does. Whipping its mighty metal tail against the side of a building, with the pointed end spinning rapidly. Yes, it's the same old "cutting with the tail" footage as we've seen hundreds of times before, but it never gets old. Well, it DOES, but that's besides the point. Tommy's Clone cries, "Perfect!" upon witnessing this, and the Dragonzord's dotted spellbound eyes flash in response. It next moves on to grab the orange & white striped smokestack. Possibly looking for a dead Spider-Man clone inside of it. Dragonzord picks it up, and chomps down on it with its sharp cast iron teeth. He must think this is Fraggle Rock and Angel Grove was built by Doozers or something. Anyway, he's ate this same exact smokestack before, so it must be quite yummy, as he munches on it for some time. Up on the Moon Palace, Lord Zedd discovers that Tommy is back in action, and tells Goldar, "White Ranger mustn't be allowed to interfere. Send down the Putties!" Goldar bows and obeys, "With pleasure, my evilness!" Why Goldar is too chicken to fight himself today is unmentioned, but he does do as told and sends down some Putty Patrollers. A whole three of them! Interestingly, they are indeed the same three that teleported away earlier in Part One, after having beaten Tommy down and clipped his hair. They show up in the park, shaking their rear ends in the air, literally. White Ranger remarks, "Whoa! Not YOU guys again! Well. First things first!" He does a flip into the air, narrowly avoiding a powerline, and lands amid the trio of Putties. More of that white powder is kicked up, as Tommy very easily throws a few punches and kicks into the claybrains, striking all three of their Z's. The Putties explode into pieces, and White Ranger comments, "Haha! Nice try, Zedd. But you'll have to do better than that!" On the moon balcony, Lord Zedd overhears him, and replies, "Ahh, I WILL, White Ranger. Haha! Trust me, I WILL!"

Back on Earth, the White Ranger whips out Saba the Saber from his belt holster. Tommy talks to the sentient, yet usually quiet, enchanted blade, asking, "Hey, Saba! You okay, buddy?" The saber replies, "Yes, quite!" White Ranger tells him, "Good! We'd better put a move on the Green Ranger, before Zedd decides to turn up the heat." Aiming Saba's head into the air, Tommy shouts, "Tigerzord power, NOW!" The White Tigerzord comes to life amid a bright shining light, and races through the rocky desert. White Ranger's theme plays, as usual, and Tommy leaps atop his Tigerzord, saying, "Okay, Saba. Let's prove to him that good always triumphs over evil." Holding Saba in his hand, together the White Ranger and the saber say in unison, "White Tigerzord, battle ready, now!" The Dragonzord is in the distance, roaring aloud as he becomes aware of the second Zord on the scene. Just to make things clear, neither the Tigerzord nor the Dragonzord ever appear onscreen together. It's purely a battle between stock footage. Tommy proclaims, "Let's do it!", and he drops through the roof of the Tigerzord, entering the spacious cockpit, with Saba in hand. White Ranger speaks to the Dragonzord with remembrance, as he should, by saying, "Sorry, old friend. But i've got to shut you down!" The Dragonzord, still under the evil spell, merely growls, and stomps through the city. The White Tigerzord speeds towards the city, vibrating intensely and roaring deeply. The Dragonzord smashes a cardboard building into chunks of debris, sparks and smoke, as the Tigerzord supposedly passes underneath. Tommy ducks his head down in the cockpit, as the destruction stirs overhead. Saba, inserted into the console, says, "Ahh! I think you need a bit more power!" White Ranger does as the wise blade recommends, and motions his hands, shouting, "Convert to Warrior Mode, now!" The White Tigerzord shifts its body parts around, and switches into the tall humanoid figure known as its Warrior Mode. It lands in the city, and faces the well-dried Dragonzord.

Immediately, the Tigerzord's red chest-mouth glows with a Japanese symbol, as within, Tommy has already tossed a power sphere into the console, and initiates, "Thunderbolt, FIRE!" Not one, but three flaming balls of energy are discharged from the chest of the White Tigerzord, each one striking the Dragonzord perfectly. Tommy pumps his fist into the air and exclaims, "Direct hit! Alright!" The smoke clears, and the Dragonzord is relatively unharmed by the attack. Though it is quite peeved, as its six red chest lights begin to blink. This signals the activation of the spinning tail drill, and with a quick snap of the back, the dragontail rips around and cuts into the Tigerzord (between the scenes). White Ranger is shaken up quite roughly within the cockpit, as his Thunderzord starts erupting with sparks. The ancient, and quite more experienced, Dragonzord's single attack has proven to be lethal indeed. So much, that the White Ranger has been thrown clear of the cockpit, and hurled into the air! Tommy, his lack of power and concentration from the Wizard's assaults earlier likely a cause for this quick defeat, drops to the ground, with Saba in hand. The White Tigerzord isn't seen again, so it must have retreated to its hiding spot offscreen. Over at the Command Center, Zordon tells his robotic assistant, "White Ranger is growing weak." Alpha, pressing buttons as per his usual TV's Frank style job, cries, "I CAN'T find the Rangers!" Zordon urges him, "Keep trying, Alpha. Without the other Rangers, the White Ranger will surely be defeated." Alpha shuffles his big feet across the floor and approaches a different sector of the consoles, whining, "Oh, no!" Meanwhile, in 1790s Colonial Angel Grove, more running from the Rat Monster fun. I'd describe it in detail, but you'd be even more bored than you are now. Needless to say, the five Ranger teens, Uncle Ben, Marissa, various townsfolk, and some of the Redcoats are shown fleeing from the Ratmen. We cut to commercial with the Ranger teens running along side a slow moving stagecoach, and Uncle Ben comedically trailing behind as two of the rodent raiders near gnawing range.

White Ranger remains where he landed, in the wooded area, possibly the park again. He's crouched down, in a bit of pain, clutching Saba in his grasp. The saber keeps an eye out, alerting his partner, "Tommy, look out! The Wizard!" It's not only the Wizard Of Deception, but the evil Green Ranger as well. The Wizard asks the weary hero, "So, White Ranger. Are you ready to surrender?" Tommy proclaims, "Never!" His clone mentions, "Remember, only ONE Tommy can survive!" The White Ranger stares at the two masterminds behind his downfall, his vision blurring, as the Wizard asks, "What'll it be, you pitiful excuse for a Ranger?!" Tommy's mind clears enough to utter a request, "Well, I, uhh,... I might surrender. If you can send me to the same place as you sent my friends." The Green Ranger falls for the bait & switch routine, asking in disbelief, "You want to travel 200 years back in time?" White Ranger whispers to Saba, "YES! Just what I wanted to know." On the Moon Palace, Lord Zedd remains glued to his balcony seat. Rita Repulsa, anxious to find out the situation with Tommy, asks, "What's going on?!" His steel clad facemask tinges with a red glow of anger, as he informs her, "The White Ranger is not giving up!" Rita groans, and tries to find a bright ray of darkness, noting, "As long as the Rangers are gone, he won't be able to keep it up much longer!" She grumbles frustrated some more, and wanders down the steps, as Zedd replies, "Yes. And only our wizard holds the power to transport across time. The White Ranger has finally met his match!" At the Command Center, Tommy's tip pays off. On the Viewing Globe, the five time displaced Ranger teens are shown running away from the Rat Creatures (Adam holding Marissa's hand, of course). Notice, due to relativity, we see them in the past at the exact same point in time as we would if seeing them now. Other words, the same amount of time they've been there has passed in the present time for everyone else. Hence why their presence in the past hasn't done much of anything to change the future so far. Alpha exclaims, "Zordon! I've found them! And they're all safe and sound... I think. That was brilliant the way Tommy tricked the Green Ranger." Zordon appears to be a bit jealous that his own attempts at tricking the clone into admitting where the others were didn't work, as he doesn't talk about it at all, simply saying, "Contact Tommy immediately. He must gain control of that magic wand."

In the park, White Ranger has finally arisen from his landing spot, and is ready for action. He swings Saba around in the air, while making "he-yaa!" sounds. Green Ranger seems to be eager to spar with his twin again, but backs off. Tommy's Communicator beeps (I wonder why Alpha doesn't try contacting Oliver on his, talk some reason into him?), and he takes the time out to answer it. The baddies, proving themselves patient, just stand there and let him take the call. Tommy answers, "I read you, Zordon. Hope you got good news!" Zordon replies, "Yes, Tommy. We located the other Rangers. Capture the Wizard's magic wand, and use it to transport back in time to rescue them." White Ranger, seemingly invigorated by the mention that his teammates have been found, shouts, "Right!", right before delivering the crucial blow. Green Ranger can only extend his hands out in protest, as the White Ranger leaps into the air, and kicks his right foot into the Wizard Of Deception. The white boot strikes the Ghost Of Darkness Wand, which the Wizard so carelessly had out in the open, within kicking range. There's a discharge of multicolored magic, as the wand is knocked out of his clutches. Taken by total surprise, the Wizard is helpless to do anything but get smacked aside by Tommy, as he aims himself for where the Wand fell. His clone, Oliver (as I call him), isn't about to let this happen, mirroring his movements and grabbing the White Ranger's gold & black stripped wrist. Green Ranger shouts, "Oh no, you don't!", as he yanks Tommy's hand away from the wand, just inches from the target. His whole body is tossed backwards, and the doppleganger Rangers face one another once again. White Ranger immediately jumps into the air, hopping over his green clone, and landing exactly next to the wand. The Wizard is noticeably still on the ground, writhing about like he's that too bundled up kid who can't get up from "A Christmas Story". Tommy takes the wand in his hand, and boasts to his twin, "You of all people shouldn't underestimate me! Hahaha!" He then speaks into his left wrist, saying, "Zordon! I've got the wand. I'm on my way!" The White Ranger, with wand in hand, crosses his arms, and causes the magic stick to surge to life. He's wrapped in the same style of warping the other Rangers were when transported through time. The Wizard Of Deception, still lying on the ground (better rename him the Wuss Of Decreption!), cries out, "Noooo!", as he and the Green Ranger witness Tommy's victory. Why neither one of them even attempt to stop him is unclear, but it probably has something to do with them desperately wanting this mini-series to finally end. White Ranger is engulfed by the temporal distortion, and warps through history, vanishing instantly.

Meanwhile, the Power Rangers are partying like it's 1799, 200 years ago. They, along with a ton of colonial Angel Grove citizens, including the four Redcoat Soldiers, race through the unpaved streets like they were filming an ancient version of the Drew Carey Show opening. The Rat Monsters follow along, and after covering every single inch of the 18 century township, our heroes wind up directly in front of an open wooden platform. It's got a tall post on the center of it, and as you can tell, it's where they string people up and hang them! The White Ranger time-teleports just underneath the hanging post, and draws the attention of everyone, including his teammates, to himself by yelling, "Hey you guys!" Hardly few of the people scream at the sight of a masked man in white spandex warping onto the scene, when just a little while ago, they were running scared from five regular teenagers. What, did seeing the rats numb them to oddities, or something? Anyway, our heroes all smile upon noticing their leader has come to save them as expect, with Kim gasping, "Tommy!" White Ranger, wand in hand, states, "I'm SO glad you guys are safe!" The Rat Monsters regroup, and scurry off into the woods, planning to do some more terrorizing elsewhere in the village. Tommy tells his friends, "I've come to take you back. But we gotta hurry! The Green Ranger has unleashed the Dragonzord on Angel Grove!" Aisha remarks, "But we can't just leave these people here with these giants rats running around!" White Ranger, seemingly realizing the relative nature of their magical method of time travel, tells her, "There's no time to deal with that now, Aisha. We'll come back and finish off those dirty rats." Adam, who despite just being told will be coming back to face the vermin, turns to his instant girlfriend Marissa, and pleads, "Come with us. There's so much I want to show you." She shakes her bonneted head, and sighs, "No, Adam. This is MY world. You must return to yours and save YOUR township. I'll always remember you." She leans in and gives him a peck on the cheek, humbling the Black Ranger speechless. Rocky rushes over and takes his pal by the hand and urges, "C'mon, Adam!" Billy notes, "We gotta go!", and Kim shouts, "C'mon!", from up above the platform next to her hero. Adam's dragged away from Marissa before he can return the kiss, as he and his teammates join Tommy under the brutal hanging post. White Ranger tells the quite calm crowd, "Don't worry, everyone! We'll come back and take care of those rats!" His teammates lock arms together with him, and prepare to travel back... to the future! Adam manages a quick, "I'll never forget you, Marissa!", causing her to smile, just before the wand creates a warp field around the six Rangers, and teleports them into the timestream. Marissa is distraught, and is comforted by two fellow townswomen. The other citizens are stunned, shouting in confusion, "They disappeared!" Uncle Ben takes off his spectacles, and questions what he saw with his own eyes. The three British Soldiers (sans Captain, who is behind the camera directing) walk around the area where the six strangers vanished from, baffled and searching for clues which they never find. They should be off using those muskets to shoot the Rat Creatures, but I suspect this is like F-Troop and they aren't given bullets or something.

The wand-wielding White Wanger, err, Ranger, arrives back in the present time with his five friends, at the same spot he left it. Green Ranger stands around, seemingly awaiting the return, and the Wizard Of Deception is back over in the bushes. I suspect he's trying to discreetly use the little Wizard's room, shrouded by that large black robe. Anyway, once our heroes are all warped back to reality, White Ranger begins to engage Green Ranger in combat, quickly telling his teammates, "You guys Morph and shut down the Dragonzord! I'll handle these two." Kimberly gets the honors of shouting, "It's Morphin' Time!", to the camera. The five teenagers summon their Dinosaur based bodily alterations, and transform into the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers after the usual set of Morphing scenes. Instantly, they begin to call on their Thunderzords, with that same lengthy Dinozord to Thunderzord calling scene. All of the Thunderzords next link up, and form the Thunder Megazord. It's powered up, and on the scene in no time. The green Dragonzord growls upon seeing them, likely disappointed that he didn't get to fight the Red Dragon Thunderzord personally. I guess some things are just too cool to ever happen. Below them, in the woods, the Wizard Of Deception is out of the bushes, and is apparently being helped along by his creation, Tommy's clone. Maybe he's hiding behind his master in an attempt be the last to go, but it looks more like he's comforting the Wizard. White Ranger aims the Ghost Of Darkness Wand at them, and proclaims, "Looks like the show's over, Wizard. And your own evil magic will be your downfall!" Tommy fires the wand at the Wizard Of Deception, sparkily white energy courses outward, and strikes the black robed sorcerer. He screams in agony, as his body dissipates, leaving nothing behind but his robe & cape in a heap on the floor. A bit of orange energy which appears to have once been his flaming skull falls onto the ground, sprinkling like dust. Green Ranger watches this in horror, dropping to his knees next to the pile of Wizard. Tommy informs his clone, "You're finally free from the Wizard's evil spell!" Oliver seems to have paid no attention to the man behind the curtain after all, as he clutches the robed remains in his hand, and says, "I feel like such a fool! I can't believe I let him control me!" White Ranger stands by his side and explains, "You control the Dragonzord! Only you can stop him!" The clone cries in as much defeat as depression, "I can't!" Tommy stresses, "You HAVE to!", but Green Ranger would rather mope next to his creator/controler's clothes.

Above them, in the streets of the modern day city, the Dragonzord roars viciously. His blood-red eyes are still dotted, signifying that while the Wizard's death cut off the spell on the clone, the spell on Dragonzord remains. The Thunder Megazords readies its massive metal fist, and punches it into the Dragonzord's hull. Like the White Tigerzord, the Thunder Megazord & Dragonzord never appear on the same screen together either. Instead of using the excuse "one was from Zyuranger, one was from Dairanger", you could possibly say that Dragonzord had a dispute with the other Zords, and it was in his contract that he not have to be on the set with them to film the episode. Anywho, the punch was a tough one, and sends the Dragonzord toppling over. The five Rangers inside the Megazord cockpit cheer for themselves, acting victorious over one blow to their former partner! Red Ranger figures, "Maybe if we jolt him hard enough, we can break the spell!" In other words, he wants to take out all his frustrations with "power hungry" Tommy vicariously through Dragonzord. Said ancient battle machines is back on its feet, and roars some more. Its six red chest lights begin to blink and chime, as it pulls the same maneuver it used successfully on Tigerzord earlier. Dragonzord whips its drill-spinning tail towards the Thunder Megazord, causing sparks to fly as it cuts narrowly in our heroes' direction. They struggle to keep control of the Megazord as the drilling comes closer, with Black Ranger commenting to Rocky's earlier one, "It hasn't worked yet!" Dragonzord ceases his attack, and appears to get a laugh out of their misery. The Thunder Megazord marches closer, giving its rival Zord time to activate its five finger-missiles! They launch towards the Rangers, but the towering Thunder Megazord mere charges through the bombardment. One or two blasts do strike it, causing the cockpit to be rocked severely. After that hit, Adam cries, "We've lost the computer!", Rocky tells Blue Ranger, "Billy, get the computer!", he nods and replies, "Right!" Rocky orders Black Ranger, "Adam, power up the weapons!", he responds, "Got it!", and Rocky exclaims in general, "Alright, guys, let's finish the job!" With a crossing of his forearms, he motions for the team to proclaim in unison, "Thunder Saber, power up!"

The Thunder Megazord's eyes light up, blinking yellow beneath its facemask. It unsheathes its Thunder Saber, and holds it up, charging the blade with a surge of lightning-like energy. The evil Dragonzord growls, standing with its arms out, like saying, "Come get some!" Below, White Ranger runs through the park in dramatic slow motion, his right arm in the air, crying out, "Wait! Guys! You don't have to do that now! Wait! Stop!" This quick clip is the final bit of "original Dairanger Kibaranger footage", notable because from here out, every shot of White Ranger is either American, or Dai stuff we've seen lots of times before. In the cockpit, the five Power Rangers have their arms held high (also in dramatic slow motion, making me think this fight may have had an original alternate ending different from what we see), as they prepare to chop them down, gesturing what they're calling out, "Thunder Saber, battle action!" The Thunder Megazord continues filling the Saber with electricity, before lifting it up against its left shoulder, and prompting the rushing waterfall background to appear. The formally evil Green Ranger comes to his senses finally, and (in the final bit of Zyu Green Ranger footage ever on the show) realizes, "Tommy's right! I MUST stop them!" He puts his Morphed lips to his Dragon Dagger, and blows, ringing out that familiar summoning call. The Dragonzord's red dotted eyes suddenly lose the unnatural pupils, flashing back to normal, causing the sentient robotic beast to let loose a mighty growl. Oddly, he's next shown with his arms downward, electricity surging throughout his body, as he falls over, as if struck by something! With Dragonzord down, the Green Ranger exclaims, "The Wizard's spell is broken!" His barely conscious Zord lies on the ground, moaning wearily. In the Thunder cockpit, the Rangers cheer for their triumphant win without resorting to destroying anything (Aisha is heard shouting, "Take that!) The Thunder Megazord swings its Saber around, before resheathing it, standing tall over the city victoriously. Green Ranger mentions, "It's time to return the Dragonzord to the sea!" With a last few set of activating fanfares, the Dragonzord hops back up onto its feet, and marches towards the docks. It roars, as it steps back into the water, and heads out to the harbor, where it will remain for another 10,000 years or so, rusting in less than five. Green Ranger lowers his Dragon Dagger for the last time, and remarks, "At least that's over with." White Ranger holds his saber up high, as Saba wonders aloud, "Now, what to do with two Tommy's?" The real Tommy notes, "We'll figure something out." The Dragonzord's head lowers into the ocean, and is fully submerged within moments, the last time we'll ever see that cute bugger on PR. Sniff! That's popularity for ya, old Zords don't die, they just sink away.

The no-longer-evil Green Ranger falls back to his knees, and laments, "I just can't believe I was responsible for all that destruction." White Ranger kneels beside him, gropes his shoulder, and says, "You were under the Wizard's magic spell. It wasn't your fault! No matter how hard they try, Rita & Zedd have NEVER been able to turn me evil!" (I assume he means PERMANENTLY, given the amount of times they HAVE turned him evil). His clone asks, "But me?", and Tommy responds with a slight chuckle, "Not even a PART of me. Now, i've got some unfinished business to attend to in the form of some giant rats. Come with me, together we can free Angel Grove's past from Lord Zedd's evil spell!" Green Ranger remains quite depressingly quiet, but doesn't resist when White Ranger helps him back to his feet. Tommy chuckles again, as he puts his arm around his clone, says, "Ah, come on, Tom." White Ranger activates the Ghost Of Darkness Wand again, causing the warping time dilation vortex to envelope the both of them. One last time to the late 1790s Angel Grove we go, finding people panicking as usual. Even men on horses are terrified by whatever it is that is making everybody else run for their lives. Marissa, the British Captain resembling Skull, and the Bulk-lookalike Uncle Ben, are mere feet in front of one of the Rat Monsters, as they flee down a steep hill. Two of the rodents stand side by side atop the hill, growling as ferociously as they possibly can. The other Rat Monster is more or less herding the humans like future cattle for the slaughter down below. The townsfolk of the colonial township come to a screeching halt, the moment they spot the warping entrance of the White & Green Power Rangers! The Rats don't seem to happy to see them, as the two Tommys make the scene, shouting their usual Karate grunts. Oliver takes a look at his opponents, and proclaims, "One last battle as the Green Ranger!" He leaps up into the air, and jets across the yard with his leg poised outward, howling with power. His body actually trails green behind it as he streaks through the air, his foot perfectly striking the lone Ratfink. The creature is dropped with that single kick, prompting Oliver to remark, "Alright, who's next?!" Uncle Ben, the Captain, and Marissa watch this display, jaws agape.

The remaining two Rat Monsters chatter, knowing that they're up next for a Tommy toasted tushie trashing! White Ranger does the honors on them, throwing several kicks and punches into the furry rodents. They try to fight back, scratching their claws at him, but not a single cut is inflicted. Tommy even reaches underneath one of them, yanks its tail, and sends the creature hurling into the air. It lands next to its fellow Rat Monster, just feet away from Green Ranger, who is beating the cheese out of his Ratty. He soon flips the mutant creature over onto its back, joining its two brothers on the ground nearby. As the Rats appear to throw a tantrum, kicking their feet rapidly against the floor, Oliver comments, "I think it's time to shrink these guys BACK to size!" Tommy agrees, "I think you're right. Let's do it!" He aims the wand at the vermin trio, firing a bluish white beam, and reverting them all to their original, sewer-dwelling-size forms of regular rats. The townspeople cheer graciously for their saviors, the exterminating witches. Marissa is also quite happy, as is Uncle Ben, and the Captain cries, "Hurrah! Haha!" White Ranger and his clone stand, face to face where the rats once where (wanna bet they stepped on them?). Tommy commends his double, "Congratulations on a job well done, Green Ranger! But now, I think it's time we headed home." Oliver shakes his head, and sighs, "I can't, Tommy. You said it yourself. Only ONE of us can exist at the same time." Tommy places his hand on his clone's arm, and tries protesting, saying, "Zordon will think of something!", as the crowd of townsfolk begins to flock closer to them. I should point out that the Rangers have openly spoke their names in front of these people. What would happen should someone write all this information down, or tell the story to their children, grandkids, and so on? They must just get REAL lucky that Angel Grove was populated by morons during this time period. Oh, hey! That describes AG throughout history! Silly me.

Back to the story, Green Ranger gently pushes his twin's hand off, noting, "There's no place for me there. Let me stay here where I can do some GOOD for a change." The Redcoat Captain with Skull's face speaks up, looking at Marissa quite disturbingly, and saying with his hat off, "He's always welcome to join.... my regiment." Uncle Ben is the first to cheer, and cheers loudest, at the kind gesture. Everyone else soon raises their hands, cheering and shouting, all wanting to welcome the witch in with open arms, when earlier they were fleeing from them. Green Ranger puts his hands against his golden cloth shield chest, remarking, "I don't think i'll be needing THIS is anymore." White Ranger is a bit reluctant, taking a moment to think, before sighing and caving in to his dark side's demands, "Well, if your mind's made up...." Tommy presses the wand to the Green Ranger's body, causing a surge of green energy to flood over the clone's body. It is seemingly sucked into the skull-head of the wand, leaving behind Oliver, dressed in a green colored colonial style suit! Tommy tells his twin, "There you go. I wish you nothing but luck, my friend." Oliver, who aside from the ponytail and earring, fits in fine with everyone else in the township. They shake hands, and the clone parts ways with him. White Ranger states, "I hope everything works out for you. Hey, i'll never forget ya!" Oliver ceases walking, turns around, smiles and says, "You don't have much of a choice. I'm a part of you!" Tommy salutes his doppleganger, chuckling to himself, "I don't know if the history books are ready for this!" Oliver, proving he still is a being of magical construct, and the physical embodiment of what remained of the Green Ranger powers, raises his hand, snaps his fingers, and causes a black felt three-rimmed hat to form out of green energy! The clone places it on his head, continuing to smile, as he walks off into the crowd. Several townspeople are heard gasping, "Wow!" White Ranger bids goodbye, "Take care, buddy.", before activating the wand and warping back through the timestream the way he came.

The colonial Angel Grove citizens are amazed by his disappearance, despite how they saw him do it once already. Oliver begins to shake hands with people (one lady even tugs on his ponytail!), as Marissa approaches the crowd also. Uncle Ben walks with the Redcoat Captain, who, in a cheaply dubbed in line trying to make sure Tommy's clone does no damage to history, says, "Perhaps I spoke too soon about that regiment thing. Ahh well. All's well that ends well!" He turns to Ben, and they shake hands, unaware that 200 years later, their lookalike possible descendants are best buddies, and would KILL to see a Ranger demorph like they did! Finally of note, many wonder what happens to the clone after this. Does he end up becoming Tommy's great-great-great-great-great grandfather? Does his Power Coin end up in the hands of someone else? Will his presence there disrupt the timestream too much? None of these have any true answers, except for the occasional fanfic writer.

Once again in the present day (literally, this entire mini-series has occurred in one afternoon!), Tommy appears to be rested up, as he does some spar-punching with Rocky. Nearby, the other four Ranger teens are sitting at the outside table they were at earlier, working on homework again. Aisha remarks, "You guys, I am SO glad Zordon destroyed that magic wand." Kim agrees, "No kidding, that thing was BAD news!" Aisha nods, and continues reading her book, likely wondering why she & Kim aren't off at the mall like they planned. Tommy stops sparring and laughs, noting, "There was some good that came out of it!" What good he means exactly isn't elaborated on. Adam, the only one not doing something, sits with his hand against his head, sulking. Rocky asks his pal, "Hey Adam, what's with you?" He replies defensively, "NOTHING! Just... thinking." His teammates realize he misses Marissa badly, even though he didn't even know the girl! Billy, an expert one single-episode relationships, pats him on the back and says, "Come on, man. At least we know they're all okay now." Adam grumbles, "Yeah, I guess", and returns to moping. Suddenly, a leggy teenage girl walks by, and drops her books on the ground beside him. She cries, "Sorry!", and Adam quickly crouches down, offering, "Here, let me help you." Aisha smiles when she sees the girl's face, pointing her out to Kimberly. The girl, predictably, is a dead ringer for Marissa! Sure, one could say Marissa was her ancestor, though that would likely mean this girl is related to Bulk, or even Skull! Anyway, Adam & the Marissa double lock eyes, both giving each other wide smiles. Since she's neither seen nor mentioned again, we must assume their possible relationship is, no pun intended, history.

[edit] Trivia

During the second episode of the arc, when Tom infiltrates the Command Center, the entire scene was reused footage from the Green With Evil episodes. This explains why Alpha did not interact with the Green Ranger after his initial shock of seeing him, as the footage was taken when Alpha was powered down. Also, when the Green Ranger makes his exit, the control panels in the Command Center are severely damaged, even though Tom didn't attack. In the next shot, the Command Center looks normal again.

Final real world appearance of the Green Ranger. He would make other appearances as an illusion in the Caves of decepetion in Master Vile and the Metallic Armor and in Tommy's dream in PRDT's Fighting Spirit.
