Power Rangers Dino Super Charge is the 23rd season of Power Rangers, and the second season of Power Rangers Dino Charge. The series is based on Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

Production

"Power Rangers Dino Supercharge" was trademarked by Saban Brands in 2014 during the run of Power Rangers Super Megaforce.[1] The season was formally announced via press release on June 8, 2015, with the minor name alteration to "Power Rangers Dino Super Charge".

Plot

""Long ago, an alien named Keeper entrusted the greatest power in the universe to dinosaurs. Millions of years later, the Energems were found, and the evil Sledge fought ruthlessly to steal them, until the rangers finally defeated him. But, from the ashes a new threat arose... Only one team of heroes can stop him; Power Rangers Dino Supercharge!""
―Opening narration[src]

The Dino Charge Rangers disband after defeating Sledge, but their job isn't done just yet. One of Sledge's most dangerous criminals, Heckyl, and his alter ego Snide, are aiming to pick up where Sledge left off and harness the power of the Energems to rule the universe. With new weapons, new allies, new zords, and the new T-Rex Super Charge mode, the Rangers are ready to settle the score against one of their most dangerous enemies!

Errors

  • The Gold Ranger's American suit is not color matched to the Sentai version. In Kyoryuger, the suit is a shiny gold, but in Dino Charge the suit is a flat light yellow. It makes it clear what footage of him is original and which is Sentai footage.
  • When a Ranger performs the Megazord Finish with the Dino Super Drive Saber, Chase's Para Charger has the T.Rex icon on it.

Notes

  • It's the first season starting with seven active Rangers in the team. Other adaptations have only six Rangers.
    • If one were to count the Graphite Ranger, there are eight, but this ranger isn't a full-time member.
  • It was reported that the series will contain elements from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.[6]
  • This is the second Power Rangers series to have a father and son as Power Rangers on the team, the first being Power Rangers Mystic Force.
