Power Morphers

From Power Rangers Universe

This article is about a/an morpher in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

"It's Morphin' Time!"

A Power Morpher is a small, octagonal device which a person employs in order to become a Power Ranger. Mostly silver in color, (with the exception of the Green Ranger's which is gold) they have black-painted scars and red borders around the Power Coin, located in the center. On those red borders are printed the words "Power Rangers". On it's back is a decorated, gold metal plate with the letter "Z" in the center, the initial of Zordon. On the Morpher handle and the bottom of the back are five colored LED indicators that indicate which Power Coin is inserted.

The coins themselves are placed on a red grid surrounded by four laser lights. These lasers create a wormhole arc that sends the Rangers through the Morphing Grid. The coins are attached to the Morpher through electromagnets. After attaching, the coins are locked in place by small, spring-loaded tabs hidden inside the coin.

The Power Morphers are attached to the wearer's belt with a small, black holster-buckle. When not in use, the hosters recharge the Morphers, via the rechargeable, replaceable battery pack. When they were first issued to the Rangers, they were placed on the front of the belts. But to hide their individual identities, they were forced to place them on the back of their belts. When fully morphed, the Morpher and its holster were imbedded into the Ranger's power belt.

The Morpher is activated when the holder presses the red button located on its right side. The two metal grid-guards pop up to reveal the coin grid. The Ranger then shouts the name of his or her zord.
