I made new pictures for the Mighty Morphin Meower Rangers and I change the links on all of the red, blue, black, yellow, pink, & green ranger pages for them, could you do that for me on the Ranger Category please? The links go to the Mighty Morphin Meower Rangers page.
I saw that you changed back Ohranger from 1999 back to 1995. I understand & respect the fact that Kakuranger & Carranger happened back in 1994 & 1996 respectively. So can't Ole vs Kakuranger happened in 1999 instead & Carranger vs Ohranger happened in 2000 instead?
There are too many temporal issues regarding Ohranger's placement, particularly in regards to the series that came before and after it. Obviously the Vs. Timeline tends to ignore a lot of this since it ends up doing many things that the writers of those series don't intend to have (such as keeping the original Shurikenger when a new one emerged in the proper sequel), but time is just too much a problem here, mostly because of Carranger.
The basic element: the final battle with Exhaus occurs in January, 1997 during the incident where the wine constellation makes the guardians of the Kurumagic constellations drunk. Prior to then, Bowzock is fully operational and the only thing that really breaks them up occurs in the episode prior to the wine constellation event (AKA: Zonnette finally leaving Bowzock and returning to being princess of planet Fanbelt) The full Bowzock is around (including Exhaus, who became revealed in the final quarter) during Car vs. Oh, upon which the UAOH soldiers are pursuing "the last Baranoia Machine Beast" in Bara Mobile. If Carranger occurs in 1996/1997, then Bara Mobile could only emerge in 1996/1997, thus the entire war with Baranoia is over and all the forces in series (up to an including Buldont and Multihua) are gone.
This is the main reason why we keep Ohranger in the time of airing, which is 1995. Obviously it was meant to be 1999 considering the first episode, but the interactions and timing elements prevent it from actually occurring in 1999. (the only way we could make it work is if we go by the idea of "the Vs. universe had the Baranoia war occur in 1995 and it actually occurred in 1999 in series", but unless told otherwise, Ohranger is '95-'96)
When you are uploading pictures for Abaranger, could you do something about Ep. 39's picture as well. I am thinking something regarding Emiri and her parents or the Asuka/Mahoro subplot would better represent the events of that episode.
The Armor of Darkness is not a character; it is an artifact passed down to multiple characters throughout the season before it is destroyed. (I'd say it's more a plot device but that's me) The only time it actually has "sentience" is when Dezumogevirus uses the form of the armor to create a smaller form to torment Asuka and Mahoro in the final battle; and that's not even the armor but a copy made by whatever was left of Dezumozolrya. Honestly, the Armor of Darkness is closer to the concept of a Precious than a character. (and some of them were sentient too)
I added pics from 31 (the only time we see "normal Mizuho" outside childhood) and 49 (the only time we see Geildon look normal without looking peeved or like he's dying when he talks to Jannu about giving her the armor); hope that helps.
Thanks for finishing Abaranger. Glad to have used my experience to help during this project and hope you have a nice time working on Go-onger.
Also if you want to, the only Abaranger cockpit pictures that were never uploaded are the ones for KillerOh. All that is needed is a regular one, and one during the only time that Asuka was the pilot for KillerOh.
Welcome. Sad that Go-Onger will be the last one I'll probably be actively updating; since after that is Gokaiger onwards and that's well covered for the most part. I am thinking maybe eventually going back and doing episode summaries for a lot of older series later on now that I've seen them all.
Well, Kyoryuger is still incomplete and so is Ninninger as well on the Timeline (Super Sentai) page (partial information is up, but the remainder still needs to be posted, if you take a close look, you'll see what I mean).
I'll see what I can do when I get there. I do think though that I may need to prune some of the stuff with Gokaiger since some of it really isn't that important in the long run (some of the non-tribute one-shots; even with some important ones like Ahim's past; I'd say a couple tribute ones too like Dairanger or Boukenger since they gained the powers in 199 but they first use them in series)
Finding a way to work with the critical details including the material that connects with the later story should work. That was one of my main strategies when doing my own modifications to your work for Abarangers and other series before it, namely minor additions that avoids disturbing the flow too much, but still has important value to the plot (ex. in Hurricanger noting about Isshu finding out about his brother's condition so it would affect the plot later of Yosuke finding out).
So pretty much shortening sentences with fewer words or removing irrelevant info which does not affect the main plot should work.
I won't be watching Aba vs. Hurricane for a while (gonna marathon all the Vs from Hurricane/Gao to Gosei/Shinken in September before I tackle Gokai), so it won't be for a bit. I only did Deka/Aba since I've actually seen it at least.
Okay, have fun when you do watch it. I only asked because it was simple to understand (in terms of the continuity of the Abaranger show and how one simple thing could lead to a minor plot hole). Good luck on your other work.
If you can could you get a picture of Asuka in the Armor of Darkness after his helmet had been removed with a clear headshot because I was thinking of at least adding it to the Armor of Darkness portion of his page.
Thank you. Also if you possess the ability to do so, when you deal with Episode 46, could you try to translate the attack that the three Abaranger Robos use together. It would be helpful to update their pages with this, but it is okay if you can't do it. This is the last thing I need help with.
The final move is "Hissatsu Bakuryuu Daishingeki Attack"; Hissatsu is "Certain Kill", but is usually used for special techniques (see "Hissatsuwaza"); while the "Shingeki" used here in this case is either used as "advance" or "charge". So my translation for the final move is "Special Bakuryuu Great Charge Attack". (since...well, charging dinosaurs)
Admins are chosen based on perceived need by existing admins, and the quality of an editor's edits and edit history are considered. Right now we do not have a need for additional administrators. No one "has" to become an admin. Admin reversions are only permitted by other admins after consensus, so just becoming an admin would not permit you to arbitrarily do that.
