The katakana provided on his Japanese Wikipedia page would translate to Shu or Shuu. Osamu is wrong, I'll grant you that (deleted the duplicate page) but I don't know why any source would use Shoo - that's not standard Japanese spelling.

I'm still trying to create minor character pages for all the Sentai since it really isn't going to be that comprehensive even compared to the Heisei Rider minors and whatnot. If you think they all need real pages, that's up to you but just try to look at the ones I have done and take judgement from there.
Understood. Those pages cataloging the minor characters as opposed to creating a bunch of stubs initially are a good idea. Every now and then however I find I can get something substantial out of even a one-episode character, like thesetwo from Ninninger'sShinobi 30: Targeted Ninja School!.
Same here. Still need to maybe do a separation of the "Brain" article I created with the Bioman one. (and I sort of did that with Hiba's friend from the ep prior to Sun Vulcan's endgame who later VAed the Black Knight and Shiima)
I'd say go by episode. Certainly if it's a past event referenced by a specific episode, but I guess it's more complicated when it's a series' backstory mentioned various times throughout the show, for that I'd say put the first episode in which the backstory is established (so for most shows it'll be episode 1). I guess a happy medium for historical events would be to put both series and then episode together e.g. Ninja Sentai KakurangerEp. 1: It's Ninja, but if I had to pick one it'd be episode over series.
