Appearance(s):

Machiko Soga (曽我 町子, March 18, 1938 - May 7, 2006) played five roles in the Super Sentai series: A monster in Battle Fever J, Queen Hedrian in Denshi Sentai Denziman and Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan, Laraba in Hikari Sentai Maskman, Witch Bandora in Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger and Heavenly Arch Saint Magiel in Mahou Sentai Magiranger.

The producers of the American Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers series used Zyuranger footage of Soga for the character of Rita Repulsa from "Day of the Dumpster" to "An Oyster Stew." Soga also dubbed the voice of Rita Repulsa when the American Power Rangers series was dubbed into Japanese.

In 1998, footage of Bandora and her crew singing (from the Zyuranger episode "Break in! The Final Deciding Battle") was used in the special Power Rangers Funniest Moments. The footage was unaltered, thus leaving Machiko's voice in rather than dubbing over it.

After her 2006 passing, the producers of Power Rangers: Mystic Force used footage of Soga's final toku role — Heavenly Arch Saint Magiel in Magiranger — as the basis of the character Mystic Mother (dubbed over by voice-actress Susan Brady) in the two-part final episode of Mystic Force, "Mystic Fate."
