This article is about a set of events in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. |
- "No it's not just us, look around you. All the Rangers who came before us are here too, and they entrusted us with their power, because they believe in us. So really, we're not just five. We're over a hundred, all fighting for Earth!""
- ―Troy's speech after the others thought there was no hope defeating the Armada[src]
Legendary Ranger Mode, or simply Legendary Mode refers to the ability of the Super Mega Rangers to morph into the Legendary Rangers, via the Legendary Ranger Keys and the Legendary Morphers. They can also use this mode to access new Ranger forms never before seen on Earth.
Ranger Keys
Individual Modes by Episode/Special
Super Megaforce (episode)
- Legendary Ranger Modes for Super Megaforce (Episode):
- Super Megaforce Red - Red Samurai Ranger (x2), Red Mystic Ranger, S.P.D. Red Ranger, Red Wind Ranger
- Super Megaforce Blue - Blue Samurai Ranger, Blue Mystic Ranger (male version), S.P.D. Blue Ranger, Blue Wind Ranger (male version), Red Wild Force Ranger
- Super Megaforce Yellow - Yellow Samurai Ranger, Yellow Mystic Ranger (female version), S.P.D. Yellow Ranger, Yellow Wind Ranger (female version), Red Mystic Ranger (female version)
- Super Megaforce Green - Green Samurai Ranger, Green Mystic Ranger, S.P.D. Green Ranger, Crimson Thunder Ranger, Red Overdrive Ranger
- Super Megaforce Pink - Pink Samurai Ranger, Pink Mystic Ranger, S.P.D. Pink Ranger, Navy Thunder Ranger (female version), Jungle Fury Red Ranger (female version)
- The first ever Legendary Ranger Mode was Samurai, the first team of the Saban Brands era.
- Coincidentally, both teams have a Super Mega Mode.
- Also, the Samurai team is the second PR team in existence in-universe, beginning centuries ago.
- With the exception of Red Samurai Ranger, the all-Red Change here is composed of all Disney-era Legendary Rangers.
- With the exception of the Samurai Rangers, each team from the Legendary Ranger Modes originated from the Disney Era.
- Jake's transformation is Red Overdrive Ranger, the Red Ranger from the last anniversary series before Megaforce. This is a departure from the source material which instead saw Gokai Green transform into Gosei Red.
- The Super Mega Rangers transformed into the Ninja Rangers, who were also the first team of the Disney Era.
- This is the only time the Super Mega Rangers use the Thunder Ranger keys.
- Noah has already morphed into both of his female counterparts in this episode while Gia has morphed into both of her male counterparts from the Disney Era in this episode.
- With the exception of the Red Wind Ranger key, this episode marks the only time the Super Mega Rangers use the Wind Rangers' and Thunder Rangers' keys.
- Similar to what happened in the original Gokaiger red change, when fighting Tentacus as Red Rangers, 4 out of 5 of the Super Mega Rangers pair up in 2 groups of 2 based on the similarities of the Rangers they've transformed into before Troy finishes him off as the Red Samurai Ranger.
- Gia and Jake: Immediate predecessor/successor series and projectile weapons.
- Noah and Emma: Jungle Cat theme and hand to hand fighter.
Earth Fights Back
- Legendary Ranger Modes for Earth Fights Back:
- Super Megaforce Red - S.P.D. Red Ranger
- Super Megaforce Blue - Ranger Operator Series Blue, Blue Squadron Ranger (male version), S.P.D. Blue Ranger
- Super Megaforce Yellow - Ranger Operator Series Yellow, Yellow Squadron Ranger (female version), S.P.D. Yellow Ranger
- Super Megaforce Green - Ranger Operator Series Green, Green Squadron Ranger, S.P.D. Green Ranger
- Super Megaforce Pink - Ranger Operator Series Black (female version), Pink Squadron Ranger, S.P.D. Pink Ranger
- This is the first episode where the Super Mega Rangers change into a past team even though one of them is absent.
- This is the first time Super Megaforce Pink transforms into Ranger Operator Series Black. As a result, this is the first glimpse of a female Black Ranger in all of Power Rangers.
- All of the Legendary Ranger Modes for this episode comprise of Rangers who are not known to the public on Earth at that time period.
- Squadron: This team of Rangers was not adapted into a Power Rangers team and was Sentai-exclusive despite the team, Dairangers coming from the source material for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Season 2). Gosei does mention that these Rangers have not yet been seen on Earth. This could mean that they may be Rangers from another world, like the Alien Rangers or the Galaxy Rangers. This is not confirmed.
- S.P.D.: The events of S.P.D. occur in the year 2025, approximately 11 years after the arrival of the Armada.
- Ranger Operators: The events of RPM occur in an alternate universe. Despite that, Gosei and the Rangers still have their Keys for Legendary Mode.
Blue Saber Saga
- Legendary Ranger Modes for Blue Saber Saga:
- Super Megaforce Red - Jungle Fury Red Ranger, S.P.D. Red Ranger
- Super Megaforce Blue - N/A
- Super Megaforce Yellow - Jungle Fury Yellow Ranger, S.P.D. Yellow Ranger
- Super Megaforce Green - Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger, S.P.D. Green Ranger
- Super Megaforce Pink - Jungle Fury Rhino Ranger (female version), S.P.D. Pink Ranger
- With this episode, Jake has transformed into both of his non-Green and Black Ranger counterparts at least once, while Emma has transformed into all 3 of her male counterparts at least once.
- Much like episode 4 of Gokaiger, both of the Legendary Ranger teams that were used had a Blue Ranger with a typically serious attitude.
- S.P.D.: Sky Tate was notable for his by-the-book nature and desire to being the leader of the B-Squad Rangers.
- Jungle Fury: Theo Martin was notable for being intelligent yet arrogant and lacking in teamwork skills.
A Lion's Alliance
- Legendary Ranger Modes for A Lion's Alliance:
- Super Megaforce Red - Red Lion Wild Force Ranger (x2)
- Super Megaforce Blue - Black Dino Ranger, Blue Shark Wild Force Ranger (x2)
- Super Megaforce Yellow - Black Aquitar Ranger (female version), Yellow Eagle Wild Force Ranger (skirted version) (x2)
- Super Megaforce Green - Black Bison Wild Force Ranger (x2)
- Super Megaforce Pink - Ranger Operator Series Black (female version), White Tiger Wild Force Ranger (x2)
- It should be noted that this is the first time Jake transforms into a Legendary Ranger that is his base color: Black. Also, Noah, Gia, and Emma all morphed into Legendary Black Rangers before Jake did.
- Gia's morph into the Black Aquitar Ranger marks the first time a Super Mega Ranger has transformed into a Ranger from the original Saban era of Power Rangers (though Wild Force was produced by MMPR Productions, the franchise was transferred to Disney in its run), as well as the first time a Super Mega Ranger has transformed into a Ranger from the Zordon Era.
- Noah's morph into the Black Dino Ranger marks the first time a Super Mega Ranger has transformed into one of Tommy Oliver's Ranger forms respectively.
- Also, Emma is the only one who morphs into one of her direct counterparts during the Legendary Black Ranger Mode.
- This episode marks the first time the Rangers have transformed into an entire past team (minus the Sixth Ranger) twice in the same episode, something which never happened in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. This is as the first Wild Force change was new footage made to replace changes into unadapted Sentai, in addition to the Gaoranger change later on from the original episode.

- As of this episode, Troy has morphed into every first Red Ranger of their respective era.
- Jake morphs into the first black and the first green regular Rangers. Incidentally, both those powers have been used by Adam Park.
- Another coincidence is that Jake (who is the last regular Black Ranger) also morphs into the last regular Green Ranger. With the exception of Lost Galaxy, the Super Mega Rangers transform into teams that were the first teams chronogically.
- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers were the first known team of Power Rangers on earth.
- The Samurai Rangers were the first PR team with powers passing on from generations.
- Another coincidence is that Jake (who is the last regular Black Ranger) also morphs into the last regular Green Ranger. With the exception of Lost Galaxy, the Super Mega Rangers transform into teams that were the first teams chronogically.
- The Mighty Morphin Legendary Ranger Mode marks the first time the Super Mega Rangers morphs into all the core members of a team from the first Zordon Era.
- The appearance of Yellow Mask and Pink Flash marks the first time Sentai Rangers from the Showa Era appear in an episode of Power Rangers.
- This episode marks the only time the Super Mega Rangers use the In Space Yellow Ranger Key, the Lightning Yellow Ranger Key, the Prism Pink Ranger Key, and the Time Force Pink Ranger Key.

- Including the Legendary Ranger modes of the original version, this episode possesses the most amount of teams used in a Legendary Ranger Mode in a single episode of the TV series with nineteen (the number of main PR Teams). However, this did not include all of the actual PR teams, not having a member of the Wild Force Rangers, Turbo Rangers and the Ranger Operators.
- Out of the 20 teams, only 5 of them (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Zeo Rangers, Space Rangers, Galaxy Rangers and Mystic Rangers) feature more then one representative.
- With this episode, Orion has transformed into all 2 Green Sixth Rangers at least once.

Reverse Gender Modes
If a Super Mega Ranger switches genders with the original Ranger, the outfit will take the traits of his or her gender's uniform as styled for the team, like how S.P.D. has slacks for both genders, but Mystic Force has tights (only) for men and skirts and tights for women.
Skirted versions of some of the Yellow Rangers as seen in Super Megaforce. This is due to the respective Rangers Sentai counterparts being male while Super Megaforce Yellow is female.
