Grinataur was a mouth/teeth/hunger-themed Nighlok that could shoots black sand out of his neck/tongue that can make people so hungry or thirsty, that they will eat until they explode. He serves as the primary antagonist of the episode "The Strange Case of the Munchies".
History[]
He is sent by Serrator to cause misery by using his evil black sand to make people so hungry they will eat and drink until they explode.
He attacked Panorama City and fought the Rangers. He managed to fire his sand at all the Rangers except Emily, and she and Jayden go battle him. Emily then destroys him in Super Samurai Mode.
He turns into his Mega-Monster form, but is destroyed by the Samurai Gigazord. TV STORY-The Strange Case of the Munchies

Personality[]
Grinataur was a cunning, sadistic and gluttonous Nighlok, that enjoyed consuming things and will not stop to swallow the Rangers. But he is also loyal to Serrator.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Gluttony Inducement Sand: He can fire black sand from his neck/tongue-like appendage that makes people so hungry and thirsty, and they will eat and drink uncontrollably until they explode. The more they eat, the more intense the feeling of starvation and thirst becomes. The spell will be lifted if he is destroyed.
- Head Needle Barrage: Grinataur can fire a barrage of blue needles from his head.
- Energy Bolts: He can also fire neon purple energy bolts from his tongue-like appendage.
- Enlarging: Grinataur can enlarge himself after being destroyed.
Abilities[]
- Moogers Summoning: Grinataur can summon Moogers at will.
- Strength: Grinataur possesses immense strength, being able to overwhelm Emily with several punches to her torso and Jayden with single slashes of his sword.
- Jumping: Grinataur can jump long distances.
- Headbutt: Grinataur can perform a strong headbutt that sent the Samurai Gigazord moving backward several miles away.
Weaknesses[]
- Dirt Limit: There was a limit in how much black dirt used to induce hunger towards other people that Grinataur could fire, as seen when he fired his last projectile of dirt, but small amount of dirt pellets in a single projectile compared to other large projectiles, that barely hit and induced hunger to Jayden.
- Sanzu River Reliance: Like all other Nighloks, Grinataur must rehydrate in the Sanzu River or otherwise he will dry out if not in the Sanzu River for too long.

- Club Sword: He wields a club-like sword in battle.
- Energy Slashes: Grinataur can generate red energy slashes from his sword.
- Energy Empowerment: Grinataur can charge up his sword with neon purple energy and slash at full force.
- Explosive Peppers: He can throw red peppers that explode on contact.
- Fists: Even without weapons, Grinataur can use his fists in battle.

- Unlike his Japanese counterpart, he was not destroyed by the Bullzooka because this weapon hadn't been introduced until the episode "Trust Me".
