Grand Witch Grandiene (大魔女 グランディーヌ Daimajo Gurandīnu) was the matriarch of the Saima Family and mother to the five siblings as well as the main antagonist of Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive. Her ultimate goal was to consume the entire universe in Minus Energy (starting with the Earth) and turn it into a wasteland to rule over.
History[]

Four billion years, Grand Witch Grandiene was formed from Minus Energy (negativity-based energy) and desired to remake the universe to her own designs. She then gave birth to her first son Gill, but baby Gill trying to kill her and as a result, Gill was packed into a sag by Spell-Master Pierre and pushed into the depths of Hell which led Grandiene to become paranoid about betrayal of her remaining children ever since. Some centuries ago, she then gave birth to three more children that she would use as generals; Dark King Zylpheeza Beast Baron Cobolda and Denus. The three are left to fend for themselves on Earth, with Pierre and their younger brother Drop sent to them by their mother with orders to amass enough Minus Energy to conduct a ritual in 1999 to give their mother physical form as she travels to Earth in the form of mindless Minus energy.
GoGoV[]
Grandiene is eventually revived from mindless Minus Energy by the efforts of Dark Smoke Saima Beast Chanbaano though she cannot fully return yet because they need to wait for the Grand Cross ceremony. She gives Zylpheeza the order to cause as much havoc on Earth as possible in the meantime. TV STORY-Ep. 10: Proud Yellow
Grandiene revives Flame Saima Beast Hellgerus and Ground Saima Beast Magma Golem to guard a volcano to make it destroy Tokyo but, though Victory Robo is defeated, Grand Liner makes short work of them and stops the eruption. TV STORY-Ep. 11: The Two Red-Hot Saima Beasts
The time for the Grand Cross ceremony finally arrives and the Saima Family employ Ceremonal Saima Beast Halleluyan to commence the ceremony. But the GoGoFive interrupt the ritual and destroy Halleuyan which causes Grandiene and a tidal wave she conjures up vanish. Though Grandiene is "revived", her physical form was a malformed pillar-like abomination. Having failed, she orders her sons and daughter to gather minus energy for her to complete her revival. Grand Witch Grandiene sends Grandeo, but when it is destroyed by Victory Mars, she blames Salamandes for the failure and he begins to fall out of her favor. TV STORY-Ep. 30: Escape! The Planet of Darkness
After the destruction of the Infinity Chain Card, Grandiene completely loses her faith in Salamandes he allowed a valuable weapon to be destroyed. TV STORY-Ep. 39: Break the Infinity Chains
Desperate to regain favor, Salamandes employs the help of Spiritworld Guard Saima Chaos attempts to lure the GoGoFive to Ghost Saima Hell in order to regain favor with his mother, but Grandiene traps all of them there, instead to get rid of their enemies. TV STORY-Ep. 42: The Hellish Psyma Beast Army
After Salamandes' death and destruction of the Dark Star, a livid Grandiene takes matters into her own hands as she seals herself away and use Saima Paradico to gather the Minus Energy she needs to complete her physical form. Grandiene then deceives Cobolda into believing that she can make him a Dark King to motivate into fighting a hopeless battle against the GoGoV. When Cobolda engages four of the GoGoV, Grandiene take the opportunity to psychically force Zyplheeza into taking them all out with Cobolda's bazooka, resulting in Cobolda's death. When Zylpheeza demands answers for the ruthless act, influenced by her time with Gil, Grandiene reveals she never truly cared for her childrens' well-being and only keep those who are useful to her as pawns alive while killing the others before they could betray her. She tries to kill most of the GogoFive (minus GoRed) by burning them to death through sacrificing Zylpheeza but Matoi defeats her by striking her with V-Mode Punch which saved his siblings. However, Grandiene survives and engages the GoGoFive as a giant and though, she manages to overwhelm the Victory Robo before turning invisible, the GogoFive use the Victory Robo's scanners to determine her location. They quickly form Max Victory Robo and, using Max Nova, force her to become visible again and then continuously bombard her with it until she is destroyed. But Grandiene's physical death allows her disembodied spirit to commence her plan of enveloping Earth while causing numerous disasters worldwide, intend to expand her reach across the galaxy. She revives Salamandes at Pierre's request along with revived Zylpheeza as their mindless minion. But when Shou and Nagare defeat Salamandes after he killed Zylpheeza, Grandiene revive her sons as mindless Destruction Gods that she later possesses with the intent to destroying Earth and then spread herself across the universe. But she is finally destroyed when Max Victory Robo Sigma Project, powered by the GoGoV's Rescue Spirits, obliterate the Destruction Gods with enough positive energy to reach the rest of Grandiene's being in Earth's upper atmosphere and complete extinguish her. Personality[]
Grandiene is a cruel, remorseless, heartless. and traitorous psychopath, who desires nothing but power over the universe by whatever means that she deems necessary. She is very cold to her own children, and will not hesitate to sacrifice them for her own personal goal of taking over not just earth, but the entire universe. Grandiene is also utterly heartless, as she feels zero remorse for ordering her son Zlypheeza to fatally shoot his own brother Cobolda to death along with the GoGoV team. Overall, she is the most pure evil in the entire series.

Being the ruler of the Saima Family, Grandiene possessed immense supernatural powers and abilities that surpassed Zylpheeza, Cobolda, Venu, Pierre, and Salamandes combined, making her the strongest and most powerful villain in GoGoV.
When Grandiene first appeared, she took the form of a blue-white spirit-like vortex where only her face was shown. She had black eyes with no pupils and her mouth was nearly visible.

- Resurrection Empowerment: When she returned in her spiritual state, Grandiene was able to resurrect both Hellgerus and Golem.
- Grand Dark Star: Grandiene had the ability to grant anyone its power as seen when it was awarded to her son Drop after Zylpheeza's first defeat by the Rangers.

Due to the ceremony being interrupted by the GoGoV, Grandiene's body was mangled into a cocoon-like shape with many tentacles and a large tentacle below it, but she got more facial features on her face, which was similar to that of a demonic woman with light purple skin, red-orange tiger-like eyes, red lips, long elf-like ears, flowing orange hair, and a crown-like headwear with a dark green colored jewel in the middle.

Grandiene gained a new form that resembled an angel-like creature with a more vampire-like head with sharp teeth, yellow tiger-like eyes, three red jewel-like pieces on her forehead, orange hair, large bat-like wings behind her head, huge rocky shoulder pads with black upper arms and large clawed hands, a black demon-like face on her stomach area, a skirt-like appendage with the faces of Solgoil, Gabara, Spideru, Zombeast and Godai attached on it, black demon-like legs with armored gauntlets around them, and clawed feet.

- Teleport Cast: Grandiene could cast a spell to teleport other beings to her at will.
- Telepathic Communication: Grandiene could focus her mind onto her minions to talk with them.
- Power Removal: Grandiene could fire a red energy beam that could take powers away from other people but where she fired it is unknown.
- Flame Aura: Grandiene could cause a streak of flames to go around her enemies.
- Lightning Blast: Grn#diene could cast powerful green or purple lightning blasts at her enemies.
- Wind Gust: Grandiene could blow a strong gust of wind from her hands.
- Electrocution Touch: Grandiene could electrocute anyone with purple electricity on contact.
- Tractor Beam: Grandiene could fire a pink-purple lightning-like tractor beam from her hands to grab other beings.
- Lightning Beam Formation: Grandiene's tractor beam could also be used to do physical harm to the enemy.
