History

A drawing of Genie appears on a page next to an illustration of King Sphinx in Finster's monster book. How this is possible since he had not been discovered yet, and is not one of Finster's monsters, is unknown. Tvicon TV STORY-Happy Birthday, Zack

Genie's lamp

The Genie's Lamp

The Genie was once trapped in his Lamp on the planet Kanyn 4 in the Wolf's Head galaxy. The Lamp is found by Squatt and Baboo, where they take him to Rita's Moon Palace and unleash him. Due to both being evil, and the cliche obligating of a genie, the Genie is very happy to to serve her and help her defeat the Power Rangers.

Goldar sends the Genie to Earth in the lamp carried by Squatt and Baboo so that he will not be detected by Zordon and his scanners before Rita wants him to be.

After the Power Rangers defeat some Putties however, the two foolish monsters unleash the Genie but also accidentally drop the Lamp which allows the Power Rangers to collect it and bring it to the Command Center for safekeeping.

After an attack by Goldar and the Putties at the Angel Grove train yards however, the Genie attacks the countryside outside Angel Grove which forces the Power Rangers to fight him instead. However, the Genie immediately summons spears that blast them down before he jumps up and webs them all with a spider like weapon before frying the entire team. Though they manage to survive all this, Zordon is forced to withdraw them to prevent their annihilation.

However, the Genie soon returns to the countryside so the Power Rangers respond but Rita enlarges her Genie into a far more ugly form wielding a massive crank operated drill spear and the Rangers have to summon their Megazord. Despite their powerful formation, the Genie jumps up into the air and stabs it in the chest before stabbing and smacking it back. Though they then activate auxiliary power after he destroys their main power, the Genie uses his webbing and fries the Megazord enough that it is completely wiped out and taken out of action. At this point, the Genie mounts the Megazord and starts cranking his drill to cleave into its head and eviscerate the Power Rangers.

Fortunately, Alpha uses the Command Center's teleportation system to send the Lamp to two different locations at once, vaporizing it and causing The Genie to cease to exist in a trail of smoke. Tvicon TV STORY-Switching Places
