The Emperor's Final Challenge (皇帝最後の挑戦 Kōtei Saigo no Chōsen) is the thirty-fourth episode of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger. It is the conclusion of the two-parter introducing the Blocker Robo, featuring their combination into OhBlocker and the final battle with the leader of Baranoia, Emperor Bacchus Wrath.
Synopsis[]
When Bacchus Wrath emerges with his ultimate plan to crush the Ohranger, the team must learn to unite and transcend their hearts in order to master the ability to defeat the Baranoia leader.
Plot[]
A red-hot meteor descends towards Earth; the UAOH forces notice it immediately and the red-hot heat it's emitting from it's descent. Miura asks Momo to find it's point of impact as she discovers it as the cavern where Bacchus Wrath was making his Super Machine Beasts, shocking the leader! Several campers duck out of the way of the fallen meteor as the flames emerge within the cave as a large sword. Buldont wonders what's going on as he and Hysteria become shocked by it as it charges the area making Bacchus Wrath re-emerge as a giant, shocking the empress and prince! The emperor pulls the sword as it glows; Buldont wonders why he's suddenly in this changed appearance as Bacchus Wrath announces he is invincible and has been waiting for this day of destiny; declaring that with his Dark Sword, which has no equal in the universe, he will finally defeat the Ohranger!
The Ohranger soon witness Bacchus Wrath's declaration that his Dark Sword will cut the Blocker Robo in two, inflaming Yuji as he rushes to face him; Gorou tries to stop him telling Yuji to not get provoked and follow the chief's orders, but OhBlue wonders why believing the Blocker Robo as invincible and he'll go ahead even as the other Ohranger try to stop him. Blue Blocker soon flies out to face Bacchus Wrath, hitting it with his fists, but becoming slashed over and over by the Dark Sword. Yuji tries the Blue Blocker Kick, but is knocked back until he uses the Delta Tonfa, which he uses to defend against the emperor's attack. The campers watch from afar hoping for Blue Blocker's success until his Delta Tonfa are ripped in two and Bacchus Wrath uses a beam attack to overwhelm the mecha! Back at base, Miura tells OhBlue he has to calm down and pull back, forcing Yuji to fly away as the Baranoia emperor declares the power of his space metal sword; he states that when the meteor hit Earth burning hot, the high heat and pressure created a super alloy known as space metal, which is invincible. As he speaks, the boy discovers a piece of the same meteor nearby wondering if what the machine stated was true.
At UAOH base, the Ohranger comfort Yuji as he wonders why they didn't come with believing that they could have won if a team faced Bacchus Wrath. Miura states they wouldn't have and states there's only one way to defeat the Space Metal Sword: combining the five Blocker Robo and use their ultimate sword! The team is surprised as Yuji states this is why they should have deployed to begin with, but Miura states even if they combined, they wouldn't be able to wield the sword properly as they are now. Gorou asks why, and the mentor states that the sword will only work if the five Ohranger combine their hearts and abilities together and reach a transcendent state of mind; a state of mind the five haven't reached! Gorou then asks how they can reach this state.
The Ohranger soon arrive at a waterfall with Miura, who asks them to split iron helmets with swords. Yuji wonders why they would have to do such things in a high tech era like this; but the mentor states they can do it; by succeeding in the splitting, it's a sign they'd reach a transcendent state of mind which will allow for them to defeat Bacchus Wrath! Ordering the team to proceed, the five Ohranger begin to hit the helmets but have a hard time, Yuji knocking the sword out of his hand and hurting it while complaining they won't be able to! Miura soon picks up Yuji's sword and tells them to believe in themselves and in their allies; and if they believe in the bottom of their hearts, they can do it without fail as he returns OhBlue his sword. Meanwhile in the city, Bacchus Wrath yells at the Ohranger to appear before him, stating if they don't, he'll destroy everything; the declaration furthering the resolve of the team to finish the move.
However, Gorou soon gets a message from Mikio, the boy from the campsite, who states he found the Space Metal and he'll give it to them right away. Gorou tells Mikio to throw the meteor away since it would just turn him into a Baranoia target, but the boy states if they have it, they won't end up like Blue Blocker and states he knows how hard it was on him. Gorou declares they will win while Mikio states he's not afraid of Baranoia and he'll bring the meteor to the bridge up the river before hanging up, shocking Gorou with his response. Momo worries about Mikio's safety as he rushes to meet with the Ohranger, who soon is approached by Barlo Soldiers as OhRed worried. The Ohranger soon rush to his aid, but are attacked from their bikes by Takonpas; Buldont appears before them stating that if they're not in their giant robots, there's no need for his father to dirty his hands of them and he'll destroy them! The Takonpas knock the Ohranger off their bikes and force them on the run from them and the Barlo, forcing them to fight back; with Gorou telling Yuji to head to Mikio to help him. OhBlue races to catch up to Mikio as he continues to run through the woods avoiding the Baranoia minions. The boy hides holding on to the meteor fearful of being found.
OhBlue yells out for Mikio as he finally reaches the bridge where the boy falls to the ground yelling for Yuji. OhBlue tells him not to come as the boy rushes with the meteor and the Barlo shoot at him, making him faint as he barely gets the meteor to him, leading to the stone to fall into the nearby rapids! As Mikio laments about losing the space metal, the other Ohranger catch up to the duo knocking out the Barlo; the team comfort the boy as he apologizes for trying to do so much to help the Ohranger but failing in the process, hoping it would have helped them and they would win if they had it but now it's all over. Yuji states it isn't over and they can win thanks to the boy; with him teaching him into the power of belief needed to win this battle. Mikio believed in the Ohranger, which is why he got this far and teaching Yuji about the importance of faith and to see something through.
Later at the training site, Miura watches as the five Ohranger stand before the helmets once again; raising their swords up together, the five close their eyes as the waterfall rages, listening to the silence of nature before opening them allowing for them to cut the helmets. With the completion of the training, Miura congratulates them for a job well done.
In the city, Bacchus Wrath states he wants the Ohranger and will give them no further time. At Miura's command, the Blocker Robo are shot out of the base and fly to the emperor, performing a Super-Heavy Combination into their combined giant form: OhBlocker! The robot states that "their hearts are one", surprising the team hearing it from their mecha as Miura claims their hearts have become one with the robot which is what he wanted and Gorou thanks him for the training they underwent. As a standoff occurs and Hysteria and Buldont watch from afar, OhBlocker move the sword aside and escape from attack before revealing their new swords for combat; the sword instantly destroy the Space Metal Sword before slashing Bacchus Wrath! At their command, the team perform "Twin Blocken Crash", combining the swords into one and releasing a massive blow that slices the Baranoia emperor in two, Bacchus Wrath screaming as he is finally destroyed! Both Hysteria and Buldont cry out witnessing the death of their leader, their own patriarch.
At UAOH Base, Miura congratulates the Ohranger but states the battle isn't over yet with a more violent battle awaiting and the need to unite their hearts further. On the ground, Buldont declares he will avenge his father as Hysteria states he is a brave boy as they look out at the mecha that destroyed Bacchus Wrath.
