Teleportation-original

The original Power Rangers teleporting.

Teleportation is a technique used by the Power Rangers from the first season until Power Rangers in Space, collectively known as the Zordon Era. It allowed the Rangers to instantly transport themselves to any destination of their choosing, but was inexplicably abandoned after Zordon's death.

The power to teleport is not restricted to traveling physical distances. Users also have the ability to travel between dimensions, as is shown when Jason is teleported out of the Dark Dimension, as well as when the Rangers managed to escape the Island of Illusion.

Generally, a Ranger character will teleport inside an energy wave that is colored to correspond with their Ranger color. Non-Ranger characters usually teleported in white, though Billy Cranston's color was black when he teleported for the final time to Aquitar. In Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, the appearance of the teleportation process changed dramatically. No reason was given.

Initially, the Power Rangers had to be teleported by Alpha inside the Command Center. This changed when Billy created the communicators, which had a direct link to the Command Center's teleportation computer.

Villains are able to teleport themselves to any location at will in all seasons with either through their own power or devices, although there are some exception as well.

Something to highlight is that at first both main villains and monsters were teleported vanishing from the sight of the characters in the first half of season 1, in the second half villains and monsters had a teleportation with a symbol, some monsters according to their theme.

Examples of this is Goldar who began to teleport with a burst of fire in his body (sometimes this same burst surrounded others like Scorpina or even Tommy when Goldar forcibly took him to the dark dimension), Lord Zedd through white lightning, Baboo and Squad with blue whirlwinds, Rito separated his head from his body that took on different colors, although there were some that had changes throughout the series, the clearest example being Rita Repulsa's teleportation, since although like her generals in season 1 she only faded, since she returned to the moon when she married Lord Zedd in season 2, she had several different symbols when she used her teleportation, initially it was a red fire that surrounded her body, but in season 3 that fire turned yellow but unlike Goldar's transportation that was only a flame of fire surrounding her body, with Rita it was several balls of fire surrounding her body in the form of a whirlwind, although in the last episodes of that season, as well as the subsequent series, the fireballs were red again, but with being thinner than the original ones and the whirlwind was more visible

Lightspeed Rescue[]

In Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, the Cyborg Rangers created by General McKnight were able to teleport from the Aquabase straight into battle.

Ninja Storm[]

In Power Rangers Ninja Storm, the Rangers occasionally used teleportation to get to or from Ninja Ops. However, the teleportation is rarely used.

Dino Thunder[]

In Power Rangers Dino Thunder, the Rangers, themselves, did not possess any teleportation powers, but were able to use the Invisiportals created by Mesogog - often for the purpose of traveling to Mesogog's island lab, and back again.

Operation Overdrive[]

In the episode Both Sides Now, Andrew Hartford adjusts Will Aston's blaster so it teleports the Rangers back to their base.

RPM[]

In Power Rangers RPM, every Ranger had a special ability. Ziggy, who was Ranger Operator Series Green, possessed the ability to teleport to any destination instantly. However, he could never master this power like the original Rangers could, and often teleported to the wrong destination.

Super Samurai[]

After the Sealing Symbol fails to destroy Master Xandred, he nearly defeats the Samurai Rangers, but Jayden appears and uses a teleportation symbol to save the team.

Megaforce[]

Gosei and Tensou brings the Rangers to the Command Center in Ranger-colored energy and later sends them to the city with the same Ranger-colored energy, similar to the original teleportation. Warstar members also teleport from their ship, and Vrak especially used this to transport when he moved from his secret base to any part of the world.

Super Megaforce[]

The Rangers stopped using this ability so recurrently and were usually transported in the Zord. This means it was used more recurrently by the members of the Armada where they were transported to any part of the world from the command ship.

Dino Charge[]

Although the Rangers themselves did not use this ability, Keeper used this ability on multiple occasions to go and advise the Rangers or rescue them when they were in trouble. Additionally, although they were usually seen being transported in capsule ships and Sledge flying away with his propellers, Sledge's Crew and some monsters used this means on some occasions. Usually when used by Poisandra, Fury, Wrench and Curio this transport would show a symbol of its user, several hearts for Poisandra, a lightning bolt for Fury, blue tears for Wrench and stars for Curio.

Dino Super Charge[]

This ability continued to be used by Keeper on various occasions to save the Rangers when they were in trouble. In addition to Sledge's Crew, Snide and Lord Arcanon were shown to have this ability when they had to escape from the Rangers on a few occasions, although this type of transportation consisted of creating a line of sparks and fading similar to Keeper and without any symbols unlike Sledge generals or monsters.

Ninja Steel and Super Ninja Steel[]

This transportation was used exclusively for the passengers of the Warrior Dome, which was a blue beam that made it appear that the user was thrown into the air and was transported down to the place where they wanted to go through the control panel of the Gigantify Machine using the yellow button. The Rangers used this transportation only when they got to enter the ship.

Beast Morphers[]

Teleportation was used to usually transport the Rangers' power weapons when they needed them, as well as multiple items as needed. This transportation was usually shown as a type of shock when transporting the items. On the other hand, usually those who used teleportation as a means of transportation were the members of the Evox Virus Army, to transport themselves from the Cyber Dimension and the Crystal Dimension to the place they wanted, this consisted of purple vortexes, although in the case of Roxy and Blaze, the vortices were the color of her clothes.

Dino Fury[]

The teleportation bears some resemblance to the Warrior Dome transport from Ninja Steel, as it consists of a giant beam that transports up or down depending on whether it is coming or going. Only this one is white when used by the Rangers or purple when used by Void Knight/Void King, Void Queen, their generals and Sporix Beasts. Lord Zedd was also seen using this ability which, unlike Mighty Morphin which consisted of lightning, was now a red explosion. Scrozzel was also seen using his old vortex teleportation without any change.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always[]

The Rangers were shown to still be able to use their old teleportation, when the original team arrived to rescue Billy from Robo-Rita and his Putty Patrollers, though the teleportation was shown to be brighter, somewhat similar to the Rangers' Dino Fury teleportation but with the color of the Rangers (possibly by the most modern effects). Robo-Rita showed that just like the original Rita she could transport herself and her monsters with this ability, although unlike the original Rita's transport which was a whirlwind of red or yellow fire, her transport was a lightning that turned her into a large flame of purple fire that was flying above.
