The ESPer (エスパー Esupā) is the thirty-sixth episode of Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan. It is the first of a two-parter associated with the descendants of planet Denzi from Denziman; the former Sentai team was to appear in a story arc but ultimately it fell through leading to this two-parter as the only true Denziman/Sun Vulcan connection aside from the presence of former Denziman chief villain, Hedrian, as a Black Magma general.

Synopsis[]

Sun Vulcan must protect ESPers under attack by Black Magma when Queen Hedrian becomes paralyzed by a supremely powerful descendant of her immortal enemies!

Notes[]

  • Viewership: 14.4%
  • This and the next episode have shortened titles due to the introduction of guest actress Junko Mihara, who was a rising Japanese star at the time of the episode's airing in 1981.
  • While Denziman themselves do not appear in the episode, footage from Ep. 1: Take the Express to the Super Fortress and the Denziman movie are used to demonstrate Denzi history elements, including the fall of Denzi and the settlement of Earth by Princess Denzi's entourage. Only stock footage of Denziman and DaiDenzin appear from these episodes.
