Ricardo Medina Jr. is a former American actor who portrayed Cole Evans/Red Wild Force Ranger in Power Rangers Wild Force and Deker in Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai.

Biography[]

Medina was born in Kern County, California, and raised in Downey, California. He is of Puerto Rican descent.

In 2015, Medina was arrested for voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to six years in prison. He has been released as of 2020.[1]

Personal Life[]

Manslaughter Charge[]

On February 1st, 2015, Medina was arrested for fatally stabbing his roommate Joshua Sutter with a katana. Medina had been in an argument with Sutter, which turned physical when Medina stabbed Sutter in the abdomen with a katana kept next to the bedroom door. Sutter was taken to a hospital where he had died. [2] After an investigation, Medina was charged with voluntary manslaughter in 2016. During his hearing in 2017, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six years in prison.[3][4]

Time Force-star Jason Faunt was interviewed by ABC-7 news regarding this, where he had revealed he had seen Medina a few months prior to the incident and "he seemed great. He seemed like himself.".

Though no news of Medina's release was publicized, his Wild Force co-star Jack Guzman had stated in 2020 that Medina had been released since and is doing well for himself.[5]
