A Shocking Debut! Working Cars!! (衝撃のデビュー! はたらく車!! Shōgeki no Debyū! Hataraku Kuruma!!) is the thirtieth episode of Gekisou Sentai Carranger. It is the second part of the showdown with Ritchiritchihiker and Braking, introducing the VRV Machines.

Synopsis[]

With RV Robo abducted by RitchiRitchihiker and no other means to fight back, the Carranger are approached by the mysterious VRV Master, who offers them new vehicle mecha to fight Braking. But can he be trusted?

Plot[]

The Carranger are depressed after their defeat against RitchiRitchihiker and Braking as Ichitaro brings over Emi from Rindo Lake who states she came to buy a dictionary at a book fair in Tokyo. The girl seems to notice the team depressed as Ichitaro carries her away.

On the Baribarian, Zelmoda thanks RV Robo for everything it did to hurt the Bowzock up to then as RitchiRitchihiker states that with him around, blowing up the mecha would be a piece of cake! Zelmoda calls on Grotch as the inventor is working inside RV Robo with several Wumpers to investigate it; RitchiRitchihiker states with the Bowzock has become a studious gang as the entire squadron is reading and investigating books laid out by the villain; but the instructor notices one of them reading a manga instead! RitchiRitchihiker claims the only way for the Bowzock to become profitable is to study and demonstrates what happens to slackers by pulling on a Wumper and electrocuting it to death, burning the manga in the process and forcing the others to return to study. RitchiRitchihiker proposes getting harder books to help the Bowzock study as he recalls that there is a book fair in Nippon-pon on "Earsh". Near the book fair, Ichitaro and Emi approach as they head to the book fair on the 50th floor. Ichitaro admires the height and the view from above.

In the city, Gynamo and Zonnette discover an ad for staff for a pachinko parlor, including a permission for a "live-in couple" which Zonnette doesn't want anything to do with making him change it to father and daughter; but she wants to be grandpa and granddaughter. Without warning, VRV Master leaves the pachinko parlor with his winnings passing them and making them confused.

At Carranger base, Kyosuke pleads to the sleeping Dappu on what they need to fight the Bowzock with RV Robo stolen. But without warning, the alarm goes off as Braking begins to rampage once again with RitchiRitchihiker using it to get to the Tokyo City Center Building for the book fair. Kyosuke alerts the team of the Bowzock as the transform, but Natsumi stops them as they wonder how they're going to fight Braking without having RV Robo. Minoru worries they can't just defeat Braking with either the Auto Blaster or Giga Booster as Red Racer states even if they can't and may lose this, fighting against all odds is true bravery and justice and they have to prove they can as the Carranger, asking for the approval of the others as they agree to these words. But VRV Master suddenly appears telling them to "believe as they wish"; surprising the team as Kyosuke realizes he knows they're the Carranger as he nods. Minoru wonders how he does as VRV Master merely states "God told him", making Natsumi and Youko further their suspicions of him. VRV Master states he's flattered and offers them to use his great machines he brought from space to fight the Bowzock; confusing the teams as he calls them the 'VRV Machines", the "Victory Ranger Vehicles", ranger vehicles promised to win.

As the team enters the Tokyo Dome, they enter a control room that VRV Master calls "the biggest garage in space". He introduces the vehicles known as the VRV Machines which the team will be driving, giving Red Racer "V-Fire", a fire truck; Blue Racer "V-Police", a patrol car; Green Racer "V-Dump", a dump truck; Yellow Racer "V-Dozer", a bulldozer; and Pink Racer "V-Rescue", an ambulance. As Youko is confused, she remembers something Dappu said pre-hibernation: be careful of nice things strange aliens try to tell you; they could be Bowzock. Kyosuke states to VRV Master they need to follow Dappu's words and not trust him; stating he can't drive a fire truck without explanation. VRV Master feels regret as the team leaves, but stops them as he shows off his pachinko winnings and gives them the bag, revealing candy drops; Youko soon reveals another of Dappu's pre-hibernation words: "you can trust aliens who like certain candy drops made on Earth that smell like Planet Hazard", giving him nostalgia for the scent of his parents. Kyosuke states they'll follow Dappu's words and will take the VRV Machines after all. But before they can go further, Braking reappears rampaging as he approaches the municipal building with the book fair, attempting to speed up but instead firing a beam towards it causing it to shake and Ichitaro and Emi to notice the attack! The Carranger see the two children trapped in the building and decide to head out to save them as VRV Master instruct them to head out.

With his instruction, VRV Master summons the "Victrailer" to head out, leaving Tokyo Dome and preparing the VRV Machines to launch within his massive garage, asking them how they feel and trusting that they can handle this and he'll give them bittersweet treats if they win. Kyosuke is confused but sends out his mecha with the other Carranger soon following. VRV Master states he wants to see the "famed Gekisou" he's been told about as the team drive forth into the streets to face Braking. Meanwhile, RitchiRitchihiker decides to take the entire building back to the Baribarian as he grabs it with the mech and Emi clutches Ichitaro in fear, making him state whatever happens, he'll protect her but making him approach her in a kiss making her scream to get away!

Kyosuke announces he'll save the kids as he activates V-Fire's hoses, firing them at Braking splashing him away from the building shocking him of the new vehicle attacking and wondering how the Carranger got new vehicles but stating that Braking is superior as he fires his beams to push it away. Naoki soon approaches in V-Police, slamming into Braking with the V-Police Attack only to be knocked down until he inverses downwards to survive while he and Youko drive around him telling RitchiRitchihiker to not underestimate the Gekisou Sentai. Minoru states it's his turn as he drives V-Dump and releases giant metal balls into Braking's path, making it fall over; but RitchiRitchihiker gets back up to get to the books. Seeing the kids in trouble, Natsumi watches the building fall and uses her V-Dozer Bucket to catch them, saving them; Ichitaro wants to kiss Emi in memory of surviving but she hits him away as Yellow Racer has Green Racer escort the building away. Angered at the team escaping with the books, RitchiRitchihiker has Braking knock the rest of the building down only to be caught by V-Dozer stating that she's stronger than him as the two get in a tug of war! Youko soon appears and decides to punish him by firing a needle into Braking's backside, shocking it and making it fly away knocking a gas tank towards Kyosuke who stops it with his water cannons and pushing it into Braking; with the mecha unable to move due to V-Rescue's anesthesia, it explodes sending Braking into space and smashing it back into Baribarian, giving the Carranger the victory!

After the battle, Ichitaro tries to apologize to Emi for his actions as the Carranger meets up with them, the team in a better mood to Emi after what happened and Emi states she's still not forgiving Ichitaro as she runs off. VRV Master soon approaches stating he has a great bittersweet treat after the battle and asks them to indulge in them. The team take them as he leaves, confusing them as he leaves them with coffee milk which they all drink down in their success.
