  • Kimiko Ezaki (Black Shadow 9) (江崎 貴美子 (ブラックシャドウ9) Ezaki Kimiko (Burakku Shadō 9)?): Kyoko Okada (岡田 杏子 Okada Kyōko?)

  • This episode works somewhat as a pilot for Gorenger's follow-up series, J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai: like the early episodes of the next series, the Gorenger spend this episode investigating a series of murders associated with two enemies, a human and a monster. However, there is one vital difference: this scheme is lead by Skate Mask, a Masked Monster, while the scheme is completed by the human-cyborg Black Shadow 9. In J.A.K.Q., the human Crime Boss will lead the schemes that are ultimately done by the Crime Monster in the episode.
  • Future Sentai actor Koji Sueyoshi, who would portray Hayate/Ginga Green in Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, was born on the day of this episode's broadcast.
