A Red Light to Enlarging is the fourth episode of Gekisou Sentai Carranger.

Synopsis

On a trip to Earth to sample the local delicacies, Inventor Grotch accidentally becomes a giant from something he ate, forcing the Carranger into a situation where they must create a means to fight larger threats.

Plot

After angering Gynamo, Grotch flees to Earth where he runs into Ichitaro, the son of owner of Pegasus Garage. Grotch gets hungry, and asks Ichitaro (who realizes Grotch is harmless) what kinds of foods are good on Earth. He then pretends to hold Ichitaro hostage to force his mother to get some of each of the food Ichitaro recommended. When Grotch eats the imo-yokan, however, he suddenly grows into a giant.

The Carrangers arrive and attack the giant Grotch, but none of their weapons are effective. After a while Grotch suddenly shrinks back to normal, and flees before the angered Carrangers can beat him up.

Grotch reports his discovery to the rest of Bowzock, but isn't sure what caused his growth. He returns to Earth with Bowzock member MM Mogu and "kidnaps" Ichitaro again to demand the same foods from his father as before. When Mogu eats the imo-yokan, he shrinks to the size of a doll instead of growing. He and Grotch flee from Ichitaro and Mr. Tenma.
