Ep 45. Broken Seal (解けた封印 Toketa Fūin) is the forty-fifth episode of Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. It is the first of a two part episode regarding the final battle with Azald. It features the full debut of Azald Legacy, having previously appeared briefly in a flashback in episode 28. This marks the final appearance of Zyuoh Bird in the television series, ZyuohWild, ZyuohKing Octopus and Azald's default form.
Synopsis[]
Ginis unlocks Azald's true form, and he is revealed to be the same monster that once attacked Earth and was defeated by Cetus, the original Zyuoh Whale. Now stronger than ever, Azald proves himself as the most powerful threat the Zyuohgers have faced so far.
Plot[]
Bud feels weak after defeating the Moebas. Over at the treehouse, Tusk helps Uncle Mario make Zyuland specialty, Jungle Rice, but before they can enjoy the lunch the Zyuman's tails detect an attack.
The Zyuohgers minus Misao form the ZyuohKing Octopus and ZyuohWild as a fleet of Triangulars descend upon Japan. Azald uses one of the Triangulars to get himself into ZyuohKing, saying he only wants to confront the Orange Ranger. Leo and Sela fight Azald, but the chaos in the cockpit causes ZyuohKing to fall from the sky and onto ZyuohWild.
Misao is at the river hoping to catch some fish to give to his doctor for saving his life as well as bring some home to the treehouse for everyone. Larry finds Misao and asks to see his rod and flashlight. The others split up to look for Bud. Amu suggests Yamato go to his real home. She says she’s always wondered about Yamato’s family and just realized Misao’s doctor is his father. Yamato says he has a bad relationship with him, as his father was never present, including the night his mother died. His father claimed he had an emergency at the time.
Amu says Yamato and his father are alike. Neither of them talk about what’s important and are completely oblivious of what others think. Yamato believes that it is too late to make amends, but Amu says they are in the same world so they can see each other whenever they want. Over at the treehouse, Misao arrives with Larry. Larry fills Sela, Tusk, and Leo in on Azald's body cubes. Larry and Misao have figured out that the Deathgalien were able to make the rod and flashlight not from the King’s Mark, but using parts of Azald's body.
After sneaking to the Kazakiri home, Bud flies over the forest only to get shot down by Azald. Azald demands his body parts be returned to him. Larry also has something to say about Bud, but the Zyuman detect Azald and leave. Uncle Mario arrives and meets Larry, offering some bananas.
The Zyuohgers hurry over to where Bud and Azald are fighting. Tusk fills Yamato and Amu in on what is happening and says it is time Bud and them fight together. The Zyuohgers all morph together as Azald summons Moebas. Yamato and Bud take on Azald to retrieve the Zyuoh Cubes and they are able to. Azald puts himself back together, now more powerful without the Zyuoh Cubes inside him. Yamato tells the others to retreat and is about to transform into Zyuoh Whale, but Azald knocks the Whale Change Gun away. The others go help Yamato. Bud picks up the Whale Change Gun and delivers a Zyuoh Final to Azald.
Azald suddenly has a flashback to when Cetus first delivered that Deep Rock finisher. Azald is stuck in rock, but Bud demorphs and collapses. The others hurry over to Bud. They wonder if Azald has been sealed, but Tusk realizes that Azald has broken free of the rock and now has his memory back. Azald changes to his true form, revealing himself to be the monster Ketasu sealed away with the Earth’s power.
The Zyuohgers morph and charge toward Azald who easily knocks them around. They unleash their beasts, but it does not leave a scratch on Azald. Azald engulfs them all in fireballs up from the ground. The Zyuohgers fall unconscious in the new crater. Azald then turns his attention to Ginis.
