Five Warriors, Here and Now (今ここに5人の戦士が Ima Koko ni Gonin no Senshi ga) is the thirtieth episode of Choujuu Sentai Liveman. It is the conclusion of the three-part battle with Giga Volt and is a major turning point both in Liveman and in all Super Sentai for two reasons. Firstly, this episode features the first "Super Gattai", featuring two completely different giant robots combining into one form, with the fusion of Live Robo and Live Boxer into the more powerful Super Live Robo.

Second, and more importantly, is the indoctrination of Tetsuya Yano and Jun'ichi Aikawa into becoming Livemen, with them becoming "Black Bison" and "Green Sai". This is the first time since J.A.K.Q. that new members join a Sentai team without the transfer of power, setting a new standard involving new members joining a Sentai squad; primarily in the changing of a three-member squadron into a five (or greater) member team, which will be used for every three-member squad after this. Likewise due to the peculiar scenario regarding J.A.K.Q.'s introduction of Sokichi Banba (Big One), this would become the standards of all future team membership changes, most notably opening the potential of a new member beyond the classic five-team concept.

Synopsis

Notes

  • This episode is the first time a three-man Sentai team is joined by other members, a trend which will continue for all other three-man Sentai teams from here on out. Only Liveman's three-man predecessor, Sun Vulcan, remains the only three-man team to remain three members the entire series.
