Standalone episode that ended an eight episode arc that led to the introduction of Kakure Daishogun. Two-part episode.
31st episode. Two-parter comprising the 17th episode and 18th episodes.
Young Noble Junior was the sole antagonist in the episode with Daimaou being the overarching antagonist and appearing at the very end. 9-Tailed Kitsune appeared 9 episodes later. Although Rito Revolto was a major antagonist in the episode, Katherine Hillard was the main antagonist with Rita Repulsa as the overarching antagonist. Master Vile had yet to intervene.
Gashadakuro wielded both his bone sword and a flamethrower in the episode. Katastrophe wielded a cat tail-like katana.
Episode was not focused a specific Kakuranger. Part I was focused on Aisha and part II was focused on Tommy.
Junior's scheme was to cause intense suffering in humans and use it to awaken Daimaou. Kat’s scheme was to find a way to infiltrate and destroy the Power Rangers from within. As Katastrophe, she was told to directly attack Billy and Adam to prevent them from attacking Tommy.
Kitsune could breathe fire that sent the Kakuranger to another dimension. Katastrophe couldn't breathe fire nor could she send the Power Rangers to another dimension.
Junior grew himself with the Yokai Lightning Cloud. Rito and Katastrophe were enlarged by Rita and Lord Zedd.
Ninjaman does not appear in the episode as he had yet to return from exile. Ninjor appears in part II.
Kitsune was killed by Super Kakure Daishogun's Iron Fist Flying Finish. Katastrophe exploded after being hit by the Ninja Megazord's Power Punch but survived and reverted back to her human form.
Junior kills Sandayuu Momochi in a duel before the Zord fight. Zordon is not killed in the episode.
Junior is alive but sealed away. Kat is alive and free.
Episode ended with the team pledging that they will defeat Daimaou, save Tsuruhime's father and keep peace on Earth. Episode ended with PC/Kat’s eyes glowing green.
Episode served as the introduction to Daimaou. Episode marked the beginning of the nine-episode arc that culminated in Kimberly departing the show and Kathrine becoming the new Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger.
