This article is about a/an recurring character type in the Super Sentai and Power Rangers franchises.

Space Pirates are notorious outlaws and bandits who traverse the universe breaking all rules and regulations wherever they go. Some are notorious criminals who wish for nothing but self gain, others are minions working alongside greater universal threats, while still others are noble freedom fighters who defy the authoritarian forces of the universe and fight for what's truly right.

Several groups of space pirates have appeared in Power Rangers and Super Sentai

Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan: Inazuma Ginga is a wanted Space Pirate who becomes associated with Black Magma during the final phase of their battle on Earth.

Dengeki Sentai Changeman: The Booba Space Pirates were a notorious squadron of pirates who defied law and order throughout the universe until they were crushed by Star King Bazoo and their leader became conscripted by the space overlord as part of his Gozma Empire.

Seijuu Sentai Gingaman: The Space Pirates Balban were ancient villains who gained control of planets using their massive monster-like ally, the Demon Beast Daitanix. They were sealed for three-thousand years on Earth by five warriors who became the initial Gingaman until being revived in modern times.

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger: The Red Pirates were a squadron of three robbers formed to find the "Greatest Treasure of the Universe" and defy the Zangyack Empire. After their leader, AkaRed, was seemingly killed in combat, the remaining two members, Captain Marvelous and Basco ta Jolokia, went separate ways in pirating; the former forming his own crew and the latter following his own sinister ways of robbery and destruction.
Power Rangers Turbo: Divatox and her army are a sub-group of a space governed by Mama D. Their main goal is to plunder all the riches and treasures in the universe. The Space Pirates are also part of the United Alliance of Evil.
Power Rangers Lost Galaxy: Captain Mutiny and his army are a group of Space Pirates who originate from the Lost Galaxy.
