Gouraigers

This article is about a set of rangers in Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger.

Lightning Speed Gouraiger (電光石火ゴウライジャー, Denkōsekka Gōraijā) (1, 5, 7-51) were originally the enemies of the Hurricaneger who form an alliance with the Jakanja despite having wiped out the Ikazuchi Way's Ninja Academy which left the Kasumi brothers as the only survivors.

Hurricaneger

The brothers obtained the forbidden Gouraiger system from their father, Ikki Kasumi, a rogue ninja who abused them. Ikki went against the Ikazuchi Way's wishes to obtain the Evil Will after learning of it during his mission in Egypt and learned of the "Final Secret" at the time of a meteor shower. He went against his school's wishes by creating the Gouraiger system and making his sons kill each other to evoke it while making them believe that rage and hatred would only promote strength. To help evoke it they form an alliance with the Jakanja to use their father's method for that purpose unaware that one brother must kill the other for that to happen. After Ikkou found out the truth, he initially wanted Isshu to kill him so his younger brother could live, but in the end the Gouraigers abandoned their fathers mad quest and as a result their alliance with Jakanja is also terminated as well now that they are no longer useful to them. Though they allied themselves with the Hurricanegers the Kasumi brothers were unable to completely forsake their father's cruel teachings and have a jaded view on life. The two work as construction workers. They represent the Ikazuchi Heart embodying the Bonds of the Past.

Gokaiger

Years later, the Gouraiger duo fought alongside not only their old comrades, the Hurricanegers and Shurikenger, but all 34 Sentai teams, against the Empire of Zangyack when it attacked the Earth in the Great Legend War. After fighting against hundreds of Gormin and their Zgormin commanders. Akarenger noticed the fleet moving towards them, he gathered all the Rangers together and gave them the order to sacrifice their powers to wipe out the first invasion's armada. The Rangers' powers were then harnessed in keys that came into the possession of the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. When the Gokaigers turn into the Hurricangers, Don (Gokai Green) and Ahim (Gokai Pink) turn into the Gouraigers.

10 Years After

10 years after their debut, Ikkou has joined a band called JUNrestu. Isshuu doesn't appriciate the music and finds it hard to get excited over.

Akibaranger Season 2

In the Delusion World, the Gouraigers appear alongside a new member, TentoRaiger, who has overwritten their personalities. They are now known as the Jakanger. The three antagonize the Akibarangers in two battles until KabutoRaiger and KuwagaRaiger see AkibaYellow and AkibaBlue helping AkibaRed out from under some rubble. They recall an instance in their history as Gouraigers where a similar instance occurred and snap back to their senses. The two then join the Hurricanegers, and leave TentoRaiger to fend for herself. All the Hurricanegers become the Inordinate Power, the Hurricane Ball, wielded by AkibaRed. With this TentoRaiger is destroyed. TV STORY-Ep. 7: Delusional Spy

The Gouraiger duo later appeared with the Hurricanegers and Shurikenger, as part of the six official Sentai, transforming into their Ludicrous Power which combined with the others to form the Ludicrous Cannon Bazooka, which the Akibarangers used to destroy Kameari Alpaca. Ranger Keys

The Lightning Speed Gouraiger Ranger Keys (電光石火ゴウライジャーレンジャーキー, Denkōsekka Gōraijā Renjā Kī) are what became of the Goruaigers' powers after they along with the Hurricanegers, Shurikenger, and the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War.

Any of these keys allow a Gokaiger to assume the form of any of the Gouraigers or, when used with the Hurricaneger Keys, summon Fūraimaru and combine with GokaiOh to form Hurricane GokaiOh. Note: When inserted into the Mobilates, this duo of Keys announces "Gouraiger" for the Ikazuchi Gouraigers, while the Hurricaneger trio keys announce "Hurricaneger" for the Shippu Hurricanegers, mainly because the Hurricanegers and Gouraigers come from different ninja schools.

The Gouraigers are among all the Sentai teams which appear in the mobile game Super Sentai Battle Base.

Notes

• The Gouraigers are the first Sentai members to be based off of insects, followed by Beet Buster and Stag Buster from Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters.
  • Both teams are Beetle based duo's, the difference being the Gouraigers are their own team, only allied with the Hurricangers, while Beet and Stag Buster are merely additional members of the main team.
• They are the first recurring secondary Sentai team.
