Anton Mercer is a billionaire, world-renound scientist, the adoptive father of Trent and the human form of the big bad of Power Rangers Dino Thunder, Mesogog, a mutant mastermind who wants to revert the world back to the age of the dinosaurs and turn everyone into a human/dino hybrid like him.

Anton Mercer was Tommy Oliver's partner in his experiments on combining Dinosaur DNA with technology, but after Mesogog destroyed their lab, he disappeared.

Alive and well, Anton appeared in Reefside as the father of Trent Fernandez, the White Dino Ranger, who he has taken into his own care after Trent's parents died in a cave in, while they were on an exhibition.

Anton Mercer now hides the secret of his alter ego Mesogog, brought about when he was on the verge of a scientific breakthrough. Unfortunately, as it was untested, the experiment went wrong.

Anton works desperately to undo what happened to him, but Mesogog finds a way to separate Anton from himself. At the end of the series Anton is excited about starting life a new and it is assumed there is somethinggoig on between him and Elsa.
